A lovely small restaurant with efficient and friendly service. The food was really tasty and well presented and almost all locally sourced. Wine selection was good and generally priced around 30 euros or so.

We had high expectations after reading reviews and been to Austria many times. We had fish, meet and a vegetarian dish and none of them where good. I do not know if someone likes this kind of food preparation but for us it needed at least more salt and pepper. We had our table reservation for 19:00 and the most... More

Booked this restaurant by email 2 days before we arrived in Innsbruck. Email response was fast as well as easy. Lovely evening with great food, good wine and extremely friendly and accommodating service. This restaurant is a much, much better choice than a traditional Austrian meal. Would recommend it to anyone.

In the old town and definitely worth a visit. Very friendly staff who will explain all the dishes. I had a beetroot and celery soup followed by a slightly spicy cottage pie...excellent. The other dishes also looked very tempting.

I emailed the restaurant (in English) requesting a table for Saturday night and got a prompt reply explaining that they were fully booked. However, we were able to book in for the Sunday night instead and we are so glad we did! We were very warmly welcomed and shown to our table, the menu is only in Austrian but the... More

A small nice place, a little bit in shadow in old town, in a small street. Local is fine and people are gentle. We ate a rich cheese-dish, with many different from the region, very special! Bread was very good too! Two glasses of tipical white wine Veltliner, very good, all for 16€: just one fine small Snack.

Emailed to reserve a table in advance. Replied in English very promptly. Lovely ambience, fabulous service. Menu is in German but the waitress explained in detail, in perfect English. The choice is small but varied. Pace of service is perfect, relaxed and friendly. Would return and reasonable prices!

I had parsnip soup, which was wonderful. For my main I had risotto which I enjoyed. Service excellent, location is slightly set back so you need to look out for it. We found it during the day and reserved for same evening. High end food in really cosy setting.

Loved our meal here tonight. Service was excellent right from my email this afternoon to reserve a table. Love the 'Nose to Tail' menu concept. Tonight we were at the shin and neck end of the animal and the resulting ragout with split barley was full of flavour and so tender. Our starters of roquefort stuffed roasted beetroot and roast... die Wilderin offers modern and yet traditional alpine cuisine. All produce used is sourced directly at local farmers and producers in adherence with seasonal offerings - only what is available at any given moment in time will find its way into die Wilderin's kitchen and onto the plates. Animals are bought as a whole and used that way - meaning, whatever a whole animal can offer on different cuts will be offered. No more, no less. die Wilderin's team is by no means perfect but we are all trying hard, love our jobs and hope our guests take the plunge with us - it's a hell of a ride.
