This is the 3rd day of our visit here. I ordered a schnitzel and my friend ordered fish fillet. A terrible experience. 1 We asked 5 times to order, but no one came to serve us. We were sure that waiters saw us. 2 We...More

Small restaurant managed by Indian. The tables are very small and you are going to be seated very close to others guests. No privacy at all. Prices are reasonable and foods are taste.
Yes, we where looking for a schnitzel. There are rather many restaurants to choose from in Salzburg Old Town. We took a chance to visit Saran Essbar. We were six persons and they arranged two tables at last (had to be in a specific way...More
I didn't read any of the TA reviews in advance and took Rick Steves’ advice. My wife and I had a nice meal here sitting on the pedestrian street/sidewalk in front of Saran Essbar. The restaurant was very busy, always a good sign, and we...More
Thank you very much for visiting our restaurant. It was a pleasure to host you. The next time if you get the chance venture into the actual restaurant too :-) Best regards Saran

Dear Anna. Thank your very much for your feedback. We hope to host you soon! Best regards, Sarana

We came across this place walking back to our hotel from the fortress. Food was okay, but the service was great. Price average for Salzburg restaurants.
For the original schnitzel it cost 18.90 Euro and was far too salty...as if it was coated with salt! Way overpriced for what it was. It costs 2.90 Euro for a small water. House wine is poured at very small quantity and was not to...More
I personally think this restaurant is hugely over rated. We went on recommendation from Rick Steve's book and we have one vegan family member so it's hard to find restaurants that we all will like. I will say that the service was fast and friendly...More
