This place delivers in all classes: Service, taste and portion size. It is in a lovely area of Graz, specially if you take the walk from Hilmteich towards Maria Trost.

We ate here the 3 nights we stayed in Graz as it was a part of the hotel that we booked. It was within walking distance of our room, had a fabulous beer garden and the food was good. Service was very friendly and the prices were comparable to anywhere else. Beer was 3.70 euro. While there we tried several... More

Authentic Steirisch food in lush green ambience. This is one of the best restaurants hidden in the hills of Graz. Great food, excellent ambience and very good service best visited on a sunny day to enjoy the beautiful terrace.

The food is plenty and good, but the cooks used too many salt for our taste. I recomand the garlic soup and to avoid wine soup.

We were a large group of 19 people and were seated at one long table on the deck. This original building was of a moderate size and had an attractive and warm main entrance. It appears that the building has had additions over the years, so making our way to the deck/balcony was a walk through a maze of other... More

Magical feeling, very beautiful surrounding with flowers everywhere, romantic and relaxing. We only had desserts, but WOW! They have a huge dessert menu, I had chestnut cream, tasted amazing. Highly recommend.

I have eaten breakfast and dinner at this restaurant a number of time and have always been impressed. The service is excellent and there are English menus if your German is weak. The food is always fresh and "in season" and there is lots to choose from.

We went for a walk in 'die Wälder' (the woods) and came upon this restaurant, one which we visited many times during our sojourn in Graz. It's accessible easily from the city streets (car or tram), but is even more fun to discover via a walk on the very popular hiking/biking path that runs through the Hilmteich Woods. Food: The... The restaurant has several different rooms in different themes plus large terrace facing the park. First thing I must say - if you love your deserts, you must come here. They have their own 4 page menu just for deserts! And the cake window is just to die for. Everybody will find something they would fancy. The normal menu consists... More

The location is indeed lovely, but little can compensate for the rude service and inedible food--chicken that was raw and a salad, every ingredient of which was stale.
