A group of 7 of us decided to eat here. Only 6 meals arrived at the table and having asked where the last one was it was eventually brought out. It was the wrong meal choice and was stone cold. We conveyed this to the waiter who was very rude (even with language barrier considered). He reluctantly took this meal... More

The service in the restaurant is so bad that we had to order everything twice and wait for it for a long long time . And the attitude of the staff is very bad. The food it self is not that good ever. The beer was decent.

The garden at Klosterhof is huge and, with so many tables, one tends to wait quite long to be served. That is the only criticism I have of this restaurant. My bierfleisch with spätzle (soft egg noodle) was outstanding. It is served with a rasher of bacon and a gherkin on top. The house beer is Stiegl, which is always... More

Have eaten there three times but now it was the last time. I was looking forward to my bacon wrapped green beans but the bacon tasted really bad. When mentioning to the waiter he just could not care less. My husband ordered the daily set meal of soup and pasta with ham, the waitress started serving the mains without having... More

This restaurant is well situated in the Landstrasse in the centre of the city. I have visited both in Summer and Winter, so have experienced the inside restaurant and the beer garden. The beer garden is large but rather lacks atmosphere, while the inside restaurant is typical, wood-panelled small rooms with rather more ambience. The food in both was adequate... More

This restaurant has a very big nice garden. The plates are austrian typical food. I advice to taste beer stewed meat with "spatzel" ( goulash is good too) and obviously you can taste a "LInzer torte".

Shaded by old trees this is the traditional get-away for locals. Food is served or you select from a variety of nice dishes .. .nothing fancy here .but solid and fine cooking.

The worst service so far in Austria. When you ask a english menu you will see the waitress call names. And if you want some wine is even worse. They are rude like " if you want some wine I'll bring to you" .... No wine list. Only someone that speaks bad english saying that you must drink whatever she... More

Had a lovely long lunch here on a very hot day.The staff were helpful and the setting Is very free and easy. The menu is small but full of hearty traditional Austrian food.the local beer and wines are good and it is a great place for a lazy lunch.I had goulash which was really tasty.followed by braised beef which was very... Trying to find a restaurant on Sunday evening is a challenge in Linz. We ended here. Menu is serving typical local specialties, there is a good selection but small. Once ordered food comes quick. We had the stew which is pre cooked (of course). Taste is good and the food has a good texture. Service is friendly and so are... More
