Went here with friends on my birthday while on vacation. Though the ambiance was really nice, the food didn't stand out and the "deep fried chicken made famous by Rick Steeves" was a disappointment. Wine was quite good. Service was okay. Of our group of 4, 2 ordered the chicken. One has schnitzel and I had the chicken paprika dish.... More
It wasn't just the weather that was perfect at this Heuriger-the food, wine, service and atmosphere were all top notch during our visit on a peaceful Sunday afternoon. The backhandel (fried chicken) and Gemischter teller (mixed plate) with bread was plentiful and tasty. We will return. Thank you!
I love Zimmermann's, my friend lives next door to them so it's our girls night out go to place any time of year. You can have a glass of wine or bottles, a full meal or a snack. The room is warm and inviting, the service aloof and efficient , austrians don't do friendly! My favourite wine is the Zweigelt... More

The "Wirtshaus" Zimmermann, as it is called now is still the best place to spend a nice evening and enjoy the sunset. The staff is extremely friendly, which can't be found anywhere else in the area, the food is excellent with a changing specialty menu every week where you can taste the fresh ingredients and where you can feel, that... Anybody, who wants to get away from the city and enjoy an evening in a beautiful restaurant with ambience, style and a friendly staff has to visit the Vinothek. Even the boss is most of the time around and greets all guests and makes sure everybody is happy and treated as VIP. The food is just outstanding and the menu... More
We came across this place by chance, we were walking back to the station after visiting the monastery. It was a real find . A delightful spot with a lovely rambling courtyard, lots of seating and even seating in the vineyard . We arrived at dusk and enjoyed a drink in the courtyard listening to the fountain, then we're tempted... More

Get a reservation-your table is yours for the entire evening. Enjoy the kellar's Welschriesling, Rheinriesling and Gruener Veltliner. Try others, too, as you linger over wonderful local dishes, fresh salads and yummy bread. No tourists here. If you do not speak German ask for an English menu. A few servers speak English. Worth the tram ride or a car drive... More
This is not your usual heuriger.....think of it as a combination of lounge, bistro, small restaurant or your living room. However you call it, it is just an excellent place to relax and enjoy. There is not much choice concerning food but that what is offered is fresh, tasty and nicely presented. Nice starters as well....humus for example...delicious. Fried chicken was... More
This 'Heuriger' is rather big, yet cozy, with many different rooms, and a cellar, courtyard and garden. The decoration is absolutely tasteful, no matter what your own 'style' might be. The food is good, no problems. I gave 3 stars only cuz, as usual in Heurigen, there is not much variety. Staff is super friendly and prices are just normal,... More
