Just wanted something light to eat. Ordered a toasted Ham and cheese sandwich and an ordinary cheese and tomato sandwich, and 2 bottles of water, the waitress confirmed the order with us When the food came out both sandwiches were toasted, which was incorrect. One...of us cannot eat melted cheese. The waitress came over and more or less accused us of lying. I think we are aware of our dietary requirements! The cheese and tomato sandwich was virtually inedible, very dry bread. Being in retail and hospitality, we are both aware of customer service! Also, 16 euros is a bit steep. We do not recommend this placeMore
Friendly helpful and attentive but without pressure. The Tuna salad was fresh and beautiful just the right crunch so fresh fresh! Tried the pizza on my next visit and it was pretty good crisp and tasty. Don’t listen to the negative reviews give them a...chance and you’ll be pleasantly surprised! The view over the bay out to sea is lovely too.More
Horrific. My daughter found a maggot in her jacket potato. They knocked it off the (very overpriced) bill, but should have written the whole thing off as none of us could eat after that. Stick with the traditional tavernas, where you get good food and...drink for the same price as these ‘catering for the Brits cafe places’ are awful. Lesson learnt.More
Only fancied a light meal so stopped off , what could go wrong ! Toasties was fine , jacket potato hard and dry no real filling and I left 3/4s of it , waiter asked if it wasn’t good like he knew and looking at...reviews probably not the first time !More
It is over three years since I last ate here. Obviously that’s partly to do with the pandemic, but the biggest factor was that everything last time was completely uninspired. As this is largely a negative review, I should start with the one positive item....The service is much improved. I had the meatballs with chips. The meatballs were tiny. They were obviously pre-processed from a catering Pack. The owners would seem to have spent a lot of time searching for the cheapest, lowest quality, meatballs which they could find! The chips, to be fair, were fairly decent. The thing that really did it for me was the Tabasco, or rather the lack of Tabasco. Virtually every restaurant in Paphos has Tabasco. The only exceptions are the very upmarket restaurants which make their own, usually excellent, chilli sauces. I asked for Tabasco. I was given Heinz’s hot Chili sauce. When I questioned that, I was told that the chilli sauce was Tabasco. It was not hot. It was served in the plastic containers you get in supermarkets. It was closer to a barbecue sauce than a hot chilli sauce. It was utterly wrong for the purpose, which was to add taste to the chips. If you are going to have a so-called hot Chili sauce there are anything up to 20 different brands available in every supermarket which are infinitely superior to the Heinz product. I accept that they are slightly cheaper than most of their competitors on the harbour front. The quality of what I was served was however massively inferior. In no way could it be considered to be value for money. It was three years since I have last eaten here. It will be at least 23 years before I do so again. I am 72 years old. Do the maths!More
Ideal does what it says on the tin! Have eaten lunch here twice and had good food, cold beer in a good location. The tuna mayo wrap was tasty with nice fries. It’s not gourmet food - it doesn’t pretend to be. A solid 7/10...which TripAdvisor doesn’t allow for. If you want a pleasant no frills but tasty lunch, this is Ideal!!More
Sat gazing at the sea and enjoying a beer and a cider we chatted about the menu here and decided we’d eat here one night. It was chilly so we only stopped for one drink - thank goodness. Lees lager was €2.40 as advertised on...the board. My cider however was €5 - you can buy exactly the same in Sainsbury’s for €2.49. Needless to say we certainly won’t be going back for a meal. We called at another bar on the way home and the same can was €3.40.More
Worms in orange juice, although an apology was offered we were still charged for the whole meal. Other customers with the same drink were not notified. A shame as lovely views.
Stopped for lunch while having a beach day. Homemade burger was great, and the woman who works there was very friendly. Would go again!
We visited here one day while strolling round the harbour. The location is lovely, great place to chill in the sun or shade and watch the world go by. We both ordered toasties which arrived quite quickly and tasted good, chips and salad were also...nice.More
FOOD NOT AS DESCRIBED ‘SEA BREAM’ actually a VERY SMALL ‘SEA BASS’ CALAMARIS NOT FRESHLY PREPARED (although I have no proof except that I KNOW the difference both visually and in taste) also were obviously cooked in STALE OIL. Waiter was delighted when we showed...him a photo of a sea bream…seemingly he had been struggling with this problem all day. Only redeeming feature was the removal of the revolting calamares from the billMore
Great location, front of the harbour. Outside dining listening to the waves and street music. Elderly staff friendly. Food average but offset by the locations.
Worse customer service ever, avoid this place. Waiter absolutely rude, didn’t want to split the bill and we were in 3 friends. Food all from frozen. AVOID
