We stopped into Dinty's for lunch while touring the West Cork region. There was nowhere else open on the day in Unionhall so didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The bar was very neat, clean & tidy & we were asked...for our Covid passes immediately. There were just two other people there before us but within 20 minutes all available seats were taken. We both decided on the seafood chowder which was really nice. The barman on the day had few words (which was fine as not everyone can be in form for a chat all the time) & he was efficient & there were no delays whatsoever. Covid restrictions were adhered to fully (all very reassuring) Would definitely recommend stopping off here when in the area.More

On Tuesday 26th October, we phoned to book a table for four at Dinty's as other pubs/restaurants were closed early after the Bank Holiday weekend. In fairness, we got a table straight away. After being shown to our table, another family sat at the table...behind us maybe 10 minutes later. We ordered drinks which were just left at the edge of the table and we had to distribute these ourselves. At no point was there any small talk or even a chat about the weather or 'where are ye from'. My wife took her usual time ordering and I jokingly said 'u=you might want to take a seat' - but he was having none of it. Somehow, the family behind us gor their food before us. We waited a further 10/15 before ours came out. The food was okay. A huge salad on the plate didn't quite disguise the small portions.More

We stopped of here one rainy lunchtime while visiting Union Hall and Glandore and enjoyed an excellent seafood chowder in a cosy place on the main street. Very Good Indeed.

Had a lovely meal with my wife and sister in law. Between us we had the Plaice, Scampi and Brill & Crab claws. All wonderfully fresh and beautifully cooked.

Lovely unpretentious pub offering great fresh seafood. We booked in advance (via Facebook messenger) and weren’t disappointed with the food! Nice range of fish and seafood in a typical Irish pub. Very reasonable priced for the quality of the produce.
