Poor restaurant, poor service. High prices for the level of offered food. Good restaurant if you consider the standards from 25 years ago.

We just finished walking around ( as tourist do haha ) parts of the city and needed to give our feet a rest , came across K-K and decided to sit outside as the weather was still nice and sunny. A friendly waitress came and...took our cappuccino order, she wasn't in any way awkward that we hadn't chosen anything from the menu. It was a charming place just to sit there and relax while the other guests enjoyed their lunch etc. Pity that we didn't have enough time to stay for a meal!More

I couldn't tell exactly how many buildings/space that Kaempff-Kohler occupied, but I think it's at least three, including the patisserie. I tucked into a filling lunch of veal and pasta, which was just gorgeous, and then I sat and ordered another glass of Bordeaux while...I watched the rain come down out on the place Guillaume II. It was just thisside of magical.More

We ate in the small seated section in the main cheese shop and were impressed with the knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to explain the menu and options. The cheese plate was amazing (apart from the red Leicester) and the wine, Kaempff-Kohler's...own Pinot Noir, was a perfect accompaniment. It was lovely to eat lunch somewhere where the locals were also buying their fromage for the evening. A much better spot than the trying-too-hard Verve Cliquot - clad section of the same shop.More

Something is happening at KK and it is going the right way. The restaurant has for several years suffered from a total lack of management attention and you could directly feel it on the staff and the food served. But it is getting better, the...food is good, it always has been, but now the staff has also started to pay attention to the guests. With a better and less arrogant attitude KK can again become a fantastic place to eat.More

Let's start with the only positive: the location between place d'armes and place Guillaume does make it easily accessible when out and about in Luxembourg town..... I wish there were additional positive aspects we could mention, however that would require to make them up. Let's...cut to the chase, we arrived Saturday, December 21st at 1:30PM, ordered two of their house specialties ( bouchee a la reines and a pavée du salmon). 45 mins later two plates of food arrived. Both plates were cold, not a good sign. The lukewarm food looked like it was randomly arranged by someone who has either no pride in their work or is completely overwhelmed/ overworked. The milllefeuille of the bouchee had a rubbery texture, something that can only be achieved by using a microwave!! The rice it came with was hard and dry... Let's remind ourselves where we are and how much this dish costs. kaempf- Kohler with their 100 plus history as fine food purveyor and traiteur charging nearly EUR 18 for this miserable dish. What a terrible shame... Needless to say I flagged the waitress and shared my feedback. She apologized and told me that she would get the manager. The manager arrived at our table, grabbed the plate before I finished my sentence and did not seem terribly interested nor overly apologetic. It's almost seemed like he was accustomed to this particular scenario and had dealt with unhappy customers for a long time... He begrudgingly offered a replacement dish ( quiche Lorraine) which I in turn begrudgingly accepted as the main purpose of our visit was to have a pleasant lunchtime repose... I should have known better, the replacement dish was sadly terrible as well. It actually takes a certain skill to fail at warming up quiche and scattering of salad leaves. Oberweiss and Namur have nothing to worry about. Kaempf-Kohler, come on, you can do much better than this. We certainly won't be back, nor placing any orders unless we are reading some truly amazing reviews.More

I have bought cheese here previously and the staff are knowledgeable and you may have a sample . They will shrink wrap it for flight back to the states. They also sell wine and have a nice cafe and you can sit inside or out....I would recommend the 5 or 7 cheese plate with a nice Cabernet. It does close early on Sunday 5:30More

We only stopped in this shop to get some savoury snacks. They were delicious and the shop itself is lovely as well.

Cute shop, lovely staff. I had a sandwich and coffee to go and they were very good. Reasonable price for what you get.

We were visiting the city for a couple of hours and saw this inviting snack bar.It is quite expensive-small quiche 5euros/sarnie 6.30 euros. We also had 2 teas and asked for a glass of tap water as well. We were refused without a clear explanation. I...can only assume it is to make more money out of you so you have to buy a bottle of water as well.We did spend 16.90 euros for a snack after all The tables and chairs outside are too high for below average height people and the table can easily topple over. Lots of other snack bars so give it a miss.More
