We went last night for dinner, having called in a couple of days earlier for a coffee. We liked it! Very fresh, nicely cooked food. I had calamari then seafood risotto and my husband had veg soup then lamb shank. It looked like it was...More

A lovely simple meal with very good service. The seafood risotto was lovely and really great to look down at the floodlit cavern/cellar below.
Went there on a Monday night, restaurant was quiet except for our table of 20 persons. Food is good but nothing to write home about. One would expect that in a Sicilian restaurant the pasta is homemade and gnocchi too, but it was not the...More
The restaurant is part of the historic Casa Rocca Piccola property. Excellent cuisine - I really enjoyed the veal. My only issue was that the TV set mounted on the wall really detracted from the ambience and authenticity of this historic building. Ask for a...More

We were here on Easter Sunday and what an excellent experience. This restaurant is in part of a historical palazzo in Valletta. Best Sicilian cuisuine at it s best. La Giara is a restaurant I recommend blindly for those who like authentic, genuine Sicilian meals.
The staff is friendly. Slightly off the beaten track but for sure it is worth going down some extra steps. Food is good and fresh.
