This family run restaurant is more than just a pizza parlor, although their pizzas are very good. They offer Maltese dishes, salads and pasta. It's where the locals eat, but they welcome everyone the same.

Italian home cooking. Not the best I have eaten but nothing wrong with that. You get food without being ruined.

Nice local restaurant just off the seafront with friendly efficient staff and superb food.A nice mix of local and visitors made for a very pleasant evening enhanced by the various dishes coming out of the kitchen. If looks were anything to go by, the steaks were seriously good..!

Last Saturday we went for a pizza. Together we were eight. We ordered 7 normal pizzas plus 1 which was gluten free and at an extra charge. The service was very quick and the food was simply delicious. Although I eat at different places, I will visit La Cuccagna again with my family, and not just for pizza.

Very disappointed with the Argentinian ribeye. The previous visit I had taken an excellent usda ribeye and this was priced at a reasonable 30 euros for around 400 grams. This time the ribeye was supposed to be at a weight of 350 grams and it looked more like 200-250 grams from the size. This was priced at 24 euros (... More

Two families had a dinner. Starter was cheese Burata and tiny pizzas Bruschetta -were good. Main course - beef rib-eyes served with pepper or mushroom souse, we ask for well done, but it was in medium. Another main- veal Milanese , meet good , but crumbs absorb a lot of oil which spoiled taste, at last - beef grand burger... More

Not many pizzeria s in malta have managed to stand the test of time but cuccagna smashed this on all counts and with its amazing food (best pizza on the island by miles and their penne Farouk OMG) attention to detail family run atmosphere and the constant monitoring of service and quality by the owner s Andrew Josianne and their... We were a group eating at the Cuccagna and all agreed food was great . However all also agreed that dessert left much to be desired. Portions were small and quality could have been much better considering the dessert prices. It was a pity finishing off a good meal with a disappointment.

I last reviewed La Cuccagna in September 2012. I am glad to say that they still offer a very good pizza, and have now also more to offer on their menu, including daily specials. They are very well known for their very good tasty (thin crust) pizza.
