We arrived into tartarun at 12 in the hope of getting an early lunch. As it was mothers day we had a choice of only 2 tables which we could have till 1:30.....surely a good sign! The menu was pricey but we had some below par food up to that point so we decided it was worth it if it... More

If you're after high quality seafood then this is the place you're after. The food is to die for and everything is freshly cooked. As a starter I had the queen scallop and the octopus. The queen scallop was excellent - very fresh and nicely presented. The octopus was very tender and tasty. It was the best that I've ever... More

If you're in the Maltese Island South side, and you're there for Business, very few places deserve your booking, and Tartarun at Marsaxlokk is one of them. Carpaccio's are always State-of-the-art, pasta very good, but the catch of the day is outstanding: follow the indication of the staff including the cooking way, you'll never be disappointed.

We had lunch here and from the start we knew it would be good, obviously well patronised by locals. The service is good, quite formal, which we like. The menu offers a good choice and we were very pleased with our choices, the fish was filleted at the table. If you are looking for good value better than average, this... More

Had one meal here during a recent trip to Marsaxlokk which is rightly famed for the high quality of its fish restaurants. The meal was fine - vegetable soup and sea bass - and bore comparison (in quality and price) with most of the other restaurants on the sea front. However, Tartarun seeks to distinguish itself from its competitors. This... More

Don't be fooled by Tartarun's surroundings...touisty kiosks selling the things you ofter wonder why you bought. However, this restaurant is far from touristy...a fine dining, white tableclothed restaurant that makes you forget the kitchiness of what's going on outside. Accomodating staff that will be happing to bring you anything on its wonderful menu or create something that isn't. A memorable... More

Excellent food and service from the offset. One of the more formal services I have seen in Malta but personal and attentive without being intrusive. Tried the local St Niklaw vermentino which was excellent,
