We had a days sight seeing and our historian told us this was a good place for lunch. It obviously caters for tourists like us. We both went for the 'Rizzu' seafood platter. It had muscles, calamari, octopus, 3 medium size prawns, stuffed calamari and came accompanied by salad, chips and it looked like a bowl of aubergine. The meal... More

I'm serious. It was the best fish I've ever eaten in my life. We were visiting Marsaxlokk's Sunday market. It was well after 3pm when the restaurant usually closes, when we asked if we could be seated for lunch. The owner, who I learned was a fisherman in the area prior to starting the restaurant, said it would be ok.... More

We were eating Lampuki at the Ir-Rizzu in Marsaxlokk, because we wanted to eat fresh fish. The fish was good there, but everything else was made with a little too much oil (like the vegetables). It is very noisy in the restaurant and three TVs are showing regular TV shows.

I went here for lunch and ordered fresh fish. This restaurant prides itself on being a fish restaurant. To me, it appeared that the fish had been frozen, not at all fresh. It was extremely dry and hard. No flavour, terrible. Service was also extremely poor, slow, unfriendly, impossible to get attention. Staff were too busy standing around, staring across... More

We absolutely boast on fresh fish daily, if the fish was not satisfying you should have complained on the day , mistakes do happen. I am sure that our staff is attentive, maybe there was some extra work pressure and the staff was overloaded and couldn't attend you immediately, unfortunetly we have a lot of satisfied cutomers who don.t post... Me and my girlfriend went for lunch on a Sunday, the day that the 'Fish Market' is present in Marsaxlokk, expecting a fresh fish, light lunch. Unfortunately, this turned out not be the case. Firstly, the service was very disappointing. We sat at a table outside of the restaurant and waited to be served. It took approximately 15 minutes to... More

Marsaxlokk, well known for its fresh fish😊. This speciality fish restaurant is well located opposite the sea front promenade, ever popular with the locals for an evening stroll and a bite to eat. We visited this place on the strong recommendation of local friends who eat here regularly (always a plus point☺). The place is well established and is family... More

We have been here before its great. We popped in for a snack one day (omelette and fish cakes) - really lovely, quick and good value. We also came in the evening - great free starters, then prawn fritters, then I had seafood Rissotto and my husbnd had grilled chicken- all lovely with great cheap wine. Fabulous food and service... Centrally situated by the church, Ir-Rizzu Restaurant is one of the best I experienced in Marsaxlokk. It is clean, food could be seen being prepared through the glass pane separating the kitchen from the dinning area. Service is good.
