We visited this atmospheric cafe/bar during our recent visit to Iceland and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the music. The food was the best we experienced during our stay, simply cooked and beautifully fresh Atlantic Char with lobster tails and jacket potato, highly recommended! Iceland has a wealth of musical talent and Svavar Knutur, who was playing on the... More

Heard was nice Jaz club. Came last 30 minutes they were open. The band was very good but service horrible. Never came over to get us a drink. Not sure how they can even afford to pay for live entertainment if they don't sell you any thing.

I had the trout and my friends had cod. Beautifully cooked! Within normal/moderate Icelandic price ranges. We went when there was this band playing. I was a bit annoyed because I had to pay to watch, although I was only there for the food. I actually enjoyed them very much. It was a local band, who interacted so well with... More

Right next to Canopy Hotel (great) and we chose it for our first night's dinner. I had a great lamb dish and we also shared salads....cute little place with great music later in the evening.

We ate here the first night we arrived. We arrived early as musicians were setting up, but we didn't stay until their 9 PM start. Food was good, healthy. Everything is expensive, so this restaurant was in line with others, but I'm still surprised at how expensive food was.

We checked out the music options at the Cafe Rosenberg by email and internet before going to Reykjavik. Then listened to some of the groups on YouTube. We chose the Reykjavik blues group (you could call them a rock/blues band) and weren't disappointed. The cover charge was 2500 ISK each (I had hoped we would not have to pay an... More

We accidentally stumbled upon a live act on a Saturday night (Stebbi Jak og Andri Ívars) who played a wide range of music with good humour. After paying an entrance fee, the drinks were reasonably priced, with a great atmosphere.

Tonight we splurged on an expensive lobster dinner to celebrate our last day in Iceland. All seven of us agree that our dinners at Cafe Rosenberg have been superior at over half the cost! Our favorite entree at Cafe Rosa is the trout (both options), but everything we've tried on the menu has been delicious! Our favorite waitress, Saedis, has... More

We went to Cafe Rosenberg on the advice of our hotel in order to hear some local music. We found it here with the KK Band led by Kristian Kristensen. The genre was a bluesy, jazzy cover of 60's 70's songs filled in with Icelandic folk tunes. The guitar picking and voice were above average. The cod was excellent, too.
