We ate here on our last night, after our Blue Lagoon tour. They were highly recommended by the Hotel Cabin's reception desk. They had a little of everything and pleased our entire party of 11. The food was very good high quality. A little on the pricier side, but worth it. The chicken nuggets were not great, the kids said... More

Visited this little restaurant twice on our stay in Reykjavik. Ideally it was just up the road which was a bonus. To give you some perspective, my lady friend doesn't overly like fish (silly that we went to a restaurant that serves a lot of fish dishes I know). Naturally she played it safe with the fish and chips the... More

This little restaurant is tucked away just outside Reykjavík city centre and very close to the main swimming pool-Laugardalslaug and the Reykjavík City Hostel. It opened in 1979 and is still run by the same family today and is very popular with Icelanders and their family. There is no booking, you just turn up (opens at 5pm) and if a... More

Lunch for 5 excellent. Soup to start was outstanding. I had haddock & chips & salad. The haddock great, chips poor frozen jobs - a shame. But a great family owned restaurant, recommend.

I absolutely love this place, recommend the todays special and the lamb in béarnaise sauce! The restaurant is small but also very cozy. The food is homemade and it taste like the best grandma's food.

What a pleasure! We highly recommended this restaurant. Clean, warm, friendly, elegant and the most important the food is great! We were four together and we all order diffrent kind of fish. All were delicious, great taste and spices. Go there absolutely!

The fish courses tasted fine but were very buttery, heavy sauces & heavy stomach. The service and place is more a diner then a restaurant. Prices are though ok but overall experience not exciting.

Visited Laugaás for the first time in years. We dropped by on a Saturday evening, i had one of today´s dishes Plaice with creme sauce. It was delicious. Service was professional. Laugaás is a family run restaurant and my visit left me the feeling that i had dined at my mother´s place. Will return.
