Stopped here to grab a quick to go breakfast before an early morning excursion. Grabbed an egg salad sandwich, coffee and a croissant. Everything was good and did the job.

We arrived in Reykjavik early after a 6am flight. We walked around for a bit but everything was closed - including many of the coffee shops. Most places did not open until 10. Sandholt was one of the few places that was open. The front is a take-out section where you pull a number and wait to be served. Even... More

Super cute interior and great location. Service was very slow and we had to look for a server both to order and to pay. Mom and I shared a chocolate dessert and both ordered Swiss Mochas. My mocha was very bitter, which was odd since it should include some sweeter chocolate. Our dessert was tasty, but nothing crazy amazing. I... More

The interior was recently renovated (last here 2 yrs ago) and has a more open space - been there a LONG time. Beautiful marble counter tops and a see through kitchen......Oh, the coffee and pastries were just as good as we remembered!

Very good if you just want a little breakfast. The pancakes were small and perfect size. Latte was good and warmed my tummy!

We were enticed in by the lovely looking array of desserts and pastries but they weren't up to much sadly. They are pretty busy since on the main street and are a nice looking place so they had to shuffle people to sit us and other groups. The boy behind the counter was nice, friendly and informative. Waitress was quick... More

This tucked in gem was an amazing find, we were guided here from our hotel on our first day in Reykjavik, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing after a long flight. Lots of choices to choose from. We ate here 3 separate times during our stay. Highly recommend this stop.

We found this place after rolling into town around 6 am in the pitch dark. It was the only close bakery that was open at that hour. We got ourselves a cozy corner and ordered up coffee and pastries. So Delicious! We didn't realize we were right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik at the time, but we ended up... More

Came here for breakfast. The quiche was more like a soggy egg fritter with a very tasteless side salad. The sandwich was like a joke!! Two pieces of okayish bread with two thin slices of cheese and ham. They could have just given the pieces of bread with butter and it wouldn't have tasted any differently American was good

We got takeaway breakfast from here 2 mornings to bring on day tours with us. The crossaints, rolls and sandwiches were delicious. There was a good selection of sandwiches. Coffee was nice too. It was reasonably priced for Iceland.
