We ate here several times for dessert with coffee and breakfast. We really enjoyed the chocolate cake. This place is very interesting with a star wars themed WC. It is recommended!

I really enjoyed the mellow vibe here and the music was great, along with a welcoming staff. On my visit here, I had the daily special, which was homemade cream of tomato soup and a grilled cheese panini. It was done right (I felt like...More
It was raining outside and suddenly we found that place with antler, teapot, embroidery on the wall, money from more than 20 different countries were hanging... all table set differently... toilet in the name of Star Wars :) but still a friendly and homy place...More
This was the first place I stopped on my visit to Reykjavik. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I had coffee and pastry. They have nice outdoor seating area in back. The Free WiFi was fine.
Really cute and cozy upstairs. Can be a perfect quiet corner for getting work done. Went for delicious deserts- cookies and crepes almost daily whenever I was in Reykjavik.

Babalu has a hippie/Icelandic motif. There are a variety of choices on the menu and the food is tasty and filling and we could afford it. One thing to remember in Reykjavic is that prices for everything are much higher than at home.
Fine enough, until I realized I was short changed 500ISK on a 2480ISK meal. If you don't mind that risk, sure, go ahead. Oh, and the soup itself was pretty watered down.
Very cool decor which gives it a laid back, quaint and quirky vibe. The hot chocolate was very nice and so were the crepes. One of my favourite cafe's in Reykjavik.
