We only popped in for a cup of tea but it was a really cosy cafe with smiling staff and a friendly atmosphere.

Easy going all day coffee shop, a little bit self service, coffee was OK but the carrot and chocolate cakes weren't as fresh as they ought to be.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Very quirky & cosy they even have home made blankets for you to put over you if your cold. The place is very warm & welcoming & the coffee & homemade desserts are to die for. Worth the extra few penny's to enjoy the experience. Staff are very nice & the decor seems all very much antique... Cosy and inviting cafe with a laid back attitude. We came here for a late breakfast and the staff were attentive. We got scrambled eggs, toast, ham and salad with a coffee each. Everything was okay, except the eggs seemed to be scrambled with a very strong cheese and were overdone which wasn't how we expected them but later found... More

Stopped for coffee at Stofan while exploring. Lovely traditional cafe with a really cosy atmosphere. Great coffee in relaxing surroundings - good find.

This cafe is an inviting place to have a snack. My friend and I spent a rainy afternoon in the comfortable, home-like environment drinking tea, eating cake, and painting. The laid back staff kindly let us linger to paint, and we noticed many folks go there to study or meet friends.

Cosy decor with friendly staff. Tea and coffee refills are nice, especially when the weather is bad and you're waiting out a storm!

Good coffee, fast service, friendly staff. Comfortable ambiance and central location. Best apple cake ever. Ordered at the counter, barista prepared order while we paid and food order was delivered to table.

Easily the best coffee in Reykjavik. The atmosphere is really nice and cosy and it's a good place to mingle with the locals and other tourists. It can get pretty crowded though so there may be some waiting required. We enjoyed the cakes that were displayed. The hosts were friendly and helpful. My regret was not visiting the bottom floor... I ordered a chocolate cake that was stale and dry from where it had been left out and a green tea (hot water and a tea bag). That came the £16. Never again. Cute place though
