We ate here a couple of times. It has a lovely atmosphere and the food is fab. I had the cheese and ham bagel, along with the carrot cake. Wonderful.

It seems to have renamed to Cafe Rosenberg, but looks the same. There is a pub downstairs and a restaurant/cafe upstairs. The beer is cheaper than elsewhere and they also have a Happy Hour from 3 to 8 or so every day (down from 1000...to 800). The beer taps might need to be cleaned out a bit, there was a slight after taste. But loved the interior and the music and would have loved to be able to catch a live gig - we were told they would likely start up again soon and be almost daily, with only a small cover charge. The bar man was very nice as well. We also had paninis one of the evening, which come with a bit of side salad. Will definitely go back next time we're in Reykjavik!More
Really nice place in Reykjavik center. A beautiful place full of character. The cafe is located in the big old and charming house. Homemade cakes and cookies, good coffee and very comfortable seating. A good place to relax. Awesome food and very friendly staff. Definitely...a good address.More
Stopped in for a hot beverage and was welcomed by the loveliest little cafe! Ordered a Swiss mocha coffee and bagel with cream cheese, and it was delightful! The cafe is filled with old comfy chairs and mismatched furniture. It's a place that invites you...to sit down with a coffee and good book, and just relax for a bit. Loved it!More
Stopped here one afternoon whilst walking around the city. Staff were very friendly and didn’t seem to mind how long you relaxed with only a drink. Very chilled place.
The Stofen Cafe in Reykjavik is one of our favourite places on the island of Iceland. It’s a warm and friendly place with an outstanding atmosphere. The staff , Martin, in particular are friendly and helpful. In fact Martin helped us plan our next trip!...The food is good, Crepes are superb and free coffee refills. Not cheap but then nowhere is in Reykjavik but well worth it. Thanks for the Cheesecake Martin...see you in 2 years. Takk Fyrir. Mike and LindaMore
We made a passing visit to Stofan for a light lunch. All delicious. There is a lovely rustic feel, and the service was good but unobtrusive. Pricing wasn't bad either.
Popped in here with my partner and son, would have stayed longer had he of let us sit for longer than 20 mins :) it is so cosy and warm, just what we needed in the middle of a snow storm. Food is lovely -...waffles are unreal! Hot chocolate is also great. Friendly staff and very welcoming to children. Would recommend.More
Beer got spilled because of a bad table, waiter laughed at us and didn’t even clean the table..we were not offered a new beer
I would give it lower if I could. Just a bad tasting quick bite. Had some crepes and they were so dry and tasteless. Even though we got some extra sauce it was just bad. So not for us.
