Food was amazing, beer selection was incredible! But the service was the best part. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful especially with the food allergies in my group. Would highly recommend this great place!

We tried Whale, Femented Shark, Puffin, Horse Tenderloin (would highly reccomend) and we had the Reindeer Burger on a separate occasion, all of which were delicious if you can get over the stigma of eating the likes of Whale and Shark. The staff were incredibly...More

We went her for a lighter meal our last night. Good service, good food. Not quite as good as some of the fancier places we went, but half the price and very adequate. Great cozy atmosphere. We were happy. It was just what we were...More

We wanted to try some tasty Icelandic food and we were not disappointed. The restaurant had a cosy, wooden setting. Not fancy, but very comfortable and the waiters were very attentive. We started our food journey with 'Grilled puffin in a jar'. The portion was...More

We visited here twice in 3 days, firstly with just my boyfriend for drinks, where we ended up trying the traditional Icelandic shot Brennivin. We had done a full tour of Reykjavik searching for an 'Icelandic' bar... didn't want to stop in the American/Irish/British bars....More

Not that i'd know but it feels like the name nails what this place is about. Except for the highly touristic clientele which would be the case most places it's very Icelandic. Don't come too hungry if your out of cash. V

Hi, I am looking for a restaurant for 4adults and 15year old child for New Year's Eve. What are your opening times for this day and have you got any availability. Also is your restaurant close to the bonfires and fireworks. Thank you, chris

Between 1100-1350 depending on sort. There's also some " out of menu beers " which you can get for 900. I see that this is also asked for about 8 month ago, but I've just been here today so I though I'd share anyhow... More

Description
Icelandic through and through. Icelandic cuisine with a twist. Not touristy, more the place for travelers to mix with the locals. The only bar in the world that serves all Icelandic beers and spirits.
