Booked online to celebrate my wife's birthday. A superb meal - we chose different fish starters but we both had the "fish of the day" main which turned out to be three different fish cooked in different ways. We shared a dessert which was also excellent. Service was attentive without being oppressive - all in all, a lovely evening to... More

We found this restaurant by accident and what a find! Didn't know what to expect and hadn't read any reviews. The decor was very tasteful, the waiter was charming. The menu looked a bit pricey but we went for it. The bread was delicious, as was the amuse bouche. I ordered the Arctic charr, it came beautifully presented, with scallops... More

A modern twist on Icelandic food with a very good fish selection, and some meat too. The food was exquisitely presented with an amazing combination of flavours in each dish. A 'must' if you go to Reykjavik. On the pricey side but well worth it.

Everything about this restaurant shows a loving attention to detail from the second you walk through the door. A refreshing aperitif followed by some yummy warm bread with two different types of butter set a delicious tone. Knowing Iceland's reputation for amazing lamb, my girlfriend chose a dish with two flavorful and perfectly cooked cuts - glazed shoulder & fried... More

I ordered the leg of lamb with mashed potatoes - very filling and delicious. Hubby ordered the fish soup - fish chunks were super light and flaky, also very good! Also tried the "popped" fish skins, they were a lot like fried pork skins but with fish skins instead - it wasn't very expensive so we gave it a try.... More

This restaurant provides the ideal situation for an exclusive dining experience. The lower level dining room is beautifully furnished and with an eclectic mix of decoration. But what about the food, well you've heard it said that eating out in Iceland is expensive, and you wouldn't be wrong, however this is one restaurant where you will not begrudge paying. The... More

Had the best lunch in a long while at this place. Can't fault it. The wine was excellent , the fish super fresh and the service superb. It's a cosy , stylish place - ideal place to get away from the icy wind. The tunes were also awesome... Great playlist to have a lovely lunch to.

I was taken there to have dinner. I took the menu consisting on two types of fish, local lamb (marinated) and dessert. Fish was amazing (both of them) and they way they were cooked and presented just perfect. I thought I was not so much hungry after that but then they brought the lamp and had to find some extra... We decided on a long lunch at The Fish Company on our last Friday in Reykjavik. I think we were lucky to get a table (tip: if you are going in the evening make sure you have a reservation). Service was attentive and efficient - and with the usual Icelandic warmth and humour. The set price 'Fish Festival' menu was... More

Our dinner at the Fish Company was extraordinary. Excellent service, great super fresh seafood and wonderful atmosphere. Dessert was an incredible Icelandic creation mimicking a glacier.

Thank Margaret G
