The Hungarian meat soup was quite tasty. The restaurant was cozy and the service was very quick. I would definitely eat here again.

We LOVED this place. Small, quaint and delicious. They serve only soup and drinks, we had two soups and two drinks and was under £35. The staff are friendly and funny. We will definitely be going back here again. Recommend not going too late as...More

Visited here on our last night in Iceland. This was the cheapest evening meal we had during our stay (under £40 for 2 soups and 2 beers). The soup and bread is very filling, definitely enough for your main meal of the day. I had...More

You can choose two types of soup. We were offered a choice between 2 cream based soups, cream of mushroom, which we didn't try and a creamy meatball. They come in a the most amazing bread bowl.

This place is certainly popular as we had to queue to wait for a table but it was well worth it. I've had soup served this way before (in a hollowed out bread cob) and always enjoyed it. There were 2 choices of soup and...More

It is on the second floor and you would not think it is much, but the smell alone is intoxicating you. They had 2 soups as the total menu....creamy mushroom and Italian meet. Both are served in a big wheat bread bowl that is very...More

So the good thing is the bread is super yummy... downside is that the soup tasted a bit like canned soup and kinda salty - we had the veggie option. And although the staff were friendly, one of the waiters was just chatting to her...More

So glad I heard of this place! It's a small and cozy restaurant in the middle of the shopping street. They sell one meat soup and one vegetarian a day in a bread bowl and an assortment of beers. We got the vegetarian and it...More

We visited here twice on a recent trip. There are two soup options each day, one vegetable and one meat based. Absolutely delicious and the roll it is served in is really tasty. It is quite busy especially at the weekend so you may have...More

Description
A tiny, family owned soup restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik. We are proud to be the first and the original "soup in bread" restaurant in Iceland. We've been serving soups in bread for over 20 years amd we love it. Please note: We do not take reservations, ever - but swing by and we will do our best to fit you in with smiles on our faces! :)
