Our first evening in Iceland, staff very pleasant. Food good, the lobster soup was nice although the the 'lobster' a bit soft. The fish kebabs were very good. As somewhere a bit different I would say give it a try, although a,one with all Iceland...More

I live in this country since few months and didn´t find best place for lunch - reasonable prices, great ambient and amazing taste!

Saw this place on the Travel Channel or was it Food Network? They were promoting the lobster soup and it did not disappoint. Paired with a skewer of trout (wife had scallops), it was definitely enough for dinner and it was really good - although...More

Over recent years I had read a number of articles that suggested The Sea Baron in the old harbour front in Reykjavik was worth a visit. Having seen it again on a recent Rick Stein weekend away series I had to visit on a trip...More

We saw this place on a blog before our travels and knew we had to find it when we were in town, and this place was certainly one of our highlights in Reykjavik. The eatery itself was so inviting, quaint and personal, the staff welcomed...More

Fresh local seafood in a casual atmosphere. Lobster soup and scallops were outstanding. Very pleasant staff, didn't feel rushed. Serving sizes were more than enough. Highly recommend.

The Saegreifinn is located in the harbor area of Iceland. As others have noted there is usually a line in, but it moves quickly and is well worth the wait. The main dining area inside the door can be quite crowded, but they have more...More

Don't be intimated by the long line when you enter, it is definitely worth the wait!! TIP: if there is not seating available down stairs, ask if they can open the rooms upstairs. The upstairs rooms are very cozy and have more space. The lobster...More

Inside and upstairs the tables seat 9-10 and diners are crammed in to fit. The place is so popular that there are few free seats. Solo or romantic dining this is not.
