This is a nice little place for a quick bite or coffee after your whale watching experience. It can get chilly out there and is nice to grab a cup of something warm after :)

Touristic trap. Not Ok for us. Long waits, not friendly and over prices. If you want to grab some food and you do not mind the quality ......

The food was veryg good, the starter was yummy and for main course we ate the fish of the day: cod with mash and a nice tomato sauce.

Sadly only popped in for a beer and soup but was not disappointed what so ever. Service was good, location perfect, great atmosphere...but the soup was awesome. Almost went back later that day to have it again. Highly recommend.

On a cold rainy and windy day we stopped here for a bowl of Icelandic meat soup. It was delicious. The restaurant was cozy and warm.

Gamil Baukur hit the trifecta of very good service, food, and view of the harbor. The room has a bit of a rustic appearance and appearance, yet an elegant feel to it. It was nice to hit it in the evening before our whale watching tour.

We ate here after we had been on a whale watching trip,so didn't get there till about 3. That was not a problem and we were given a really great meal. I had the meat soup which was amazing, and our friend had no trouble getting a vegetarian meal. The weather was very sunny so we sat outside and watched... More

On a cold and rainy day the sea food soup was an excellent choice :)The place is located at the harbor of Husavik where you can see the fishing boats out of the windows.

As soon as we walked in and smelled whatever was cooking, we were hooked. They had a lovely kids menu, serving baked fish with smashed potatoes and salad. Not what our American children are used to, but we parents we delighted with it. The fish soup was rich and delicious. Loved it!

We ate at this restaurant after a whale watching tour with North Sailing. Excellent food and service. We had three different people wait on us providing excellent and timely service. Great fish and lamb dishes top the list. We were there on a sunny day and able to eat outside and take in the sights.
