We wanted a lazy night in, and decided on take away instead of visiting our hotel restaurant. Found Krau Siam on Trip Advisor and couldn't have been happier. Called and ordered a set menu, was told the food would be here in 50-55min. 20min later we had a knock on the door and a lovely delivery man had our food.... More

My friends and I are doing the ring road and wanted something other than Scandinavian food. Drove by Kira Siam and took a chance. Asian food in Iceland, ha! Puuuuuuhlease. We were pleasantly surprised. Pretty damn good! Staff is super friendly, even when all the tables were full. Food is delicious! If you can't decide, check out the set menu.

I ordered food and ask about the courses and wanted to add. Staff member states that it would be no problem and I should not worry. I didn't get what I asked for and then after asking for it a second time I get No Problem. This is where the story gets ridiculous. Staff member says that courses are set... More

Food is authentic. Ran into a waiter who didn't want to work. Food is on the table but no fork or spoon.

Good all you can eat lunch buffet weekdays at a very reasonable price and an a la carte menu evenings and weekends. Thai staff run the kitchen and do a really good job of it. One of my 2 favourite restaurants in Akureyri (I live there) and should be much higher up the list.

This is a really good Thai restaurant. Much better value for money than many of the other restaurants in town. The building is a little bit run down but the food is great.

Authentic, tacky , good food and very nice service for good price. What more do you need? I had very spicy beef, my wife had fish and the 7 year old had chicken. All good.

We took the menu (C). The fish was good. The beef was reasonable and the the chicken was not edible. We left it all in the plate. Its ok to eat here but don't go out of your way for this.

Really good and authentic Thai. Fresh herbs and spices and quick and good service. Probably my favorite Asian-oriented restaurant in Iceland. I give it an Excellent rating because IMHO the quality/value ration is really good for restaurants here in Iceland.

The only Asian restaurant open in Akureyri when we were here. Brisk business - Asians and Caucasians. Given the location and relative difficulty in obtaining Thai food supplies, I think the standard is as authentic and delicious as they can do. The rice comes mixed with brown rice (I personally don't like it) - something that you don't see in... More
