Great atmosphere, really cool Decor and when you come in, it feels Norse. The staff were great and gave us advice, the food was outstanding, we had no.3 and 13 and the Elk burger. Great place, great food

We have visited Harald several time, but now there were Grill weeks and outside from the normal list there were excellent choices available. The restaurant is decorated in Viking style and the stuff is dressed to match the decoration. Food is served on the top...of wooden “plates” and wine is served in clay pots. Food is taste and the portions are richMore
This place gets a lot of reviews for a reason. Fun, good food, and great atmosphere. They are super busy, so don't expect quick turnaround. Had a blueberry beer here that was a bit too sour for my liking. The food is excellent though, especially...if you are a meat eater.More
This is one if the restaurants that I MUST visit when in Turku! The food is absolutely perfect, full of fresh, local produce. I've been there many times and was never disappointed! For a truly viking-like experience: go to Harald!
Very nicely decorated and also beer mugs were in style. Attentive and good service. Food was good, starter was great, and main course though good and tasty it was expected to be more Viking like. But taste and quality was fine. I can imagine with...a group in Viking style this is a wonderful place. Good food in a great environment.More
I recommend this place for groups to share the festa menu proposed by them. Portions are quite big and the atmosphere is very cozy and festive. The reindeer was delicious and big enough, I didn't take anything else. The local beer is good. Price is...on the average, less expensive than other places, except the wines.More
I I usually hate themed restaurants as they are usually terrible so I was incredibly negative before going but my Viking-intrigued husband insisted. I was SO wrong! Lovely service, great food, and nice ambiance. Expensive but worth it! My husband has the reindeer, I had...the steak and my child has the elk sliders. Very good. Their own sodas were good too. desserts were great.More
With a lot of wood and a decoration with antlers and deer hides, with waiters and waitresses half way dressed in a traditional way, with liquids served in earthenware mugs, a special atmosphere of former times is created. The restaurant's name 'Harald' and my dinner...from the 'Court of Saint Olaf', as it said in the menu card, refer to Norwegian kings of the late Viking age. Finland itself is never much associated with the Vikings, but that doesn't really matter here. Food with mainly Finnish and Nordic ingredients though is excellent. The friendly and professional waiter recommended to me the dish with Reindeer Tenderloin and Fallow Deer Sirloin, which was superb. On the plate were also Smoked Venison Mousse, Beef Jerky Bits, Butter Potatoes, Creamy Mushroom Sauce, Gravy, Roasted Root Vegetables and Tarred Lingonberries. In the menu card are interesting explanations, also in English, for example about the Finn's love of tar in the food. The recommended beer, 'Harald Voima Olut' (power beer) , which I ordered as an aperitif, had not only a honey flavour, but also of tar. Although a bit suspicious at the beginning, I quite liked it. Their house wines (red and white) come from the Sintra Mountains in Portugal. I finished my dinner with a 'Tar Schnapps', which was quite sweet, more like a liqueur. All in all it was a memorable evening with great food.More
Food was realy good and portions were large. Good and quick service. Recomended shared menu. The space was cosy. Easy place for couples and families.
Very good food and wine! Friendly staff. Nice small place. Little bit hard to find :-). Qoite hot in the summer. I want to come back with my friends.
We had a spontaneous visit in town and decided to check out if there are tables available. We waited and finally a middle-aged waitress came and asked of we had a reservation and then told that we have No room with a terribly in-polate tone....That experience made us feel that we will never visit this restaurant again. Please educate your employees in how to behave.More
First of all for foreign visitors, this is a chain restaurant. The viking theme is mediocre at best and at the time of visit most of the customers were visibly drunk and loud. That said, restaurant can't realistically choose their customers. I ordered "Talkoopannu" dish...which consisted of half a sausage, ok-ish pork and bone dry piece of beef. My spouse had salmon which wasn't anything to write home about. House beer (honey flavour) doesn't taste like honey. TL;DR: Poor restaurant, but at least it's expensive.More
All done to a viking theme with nice interior and detail. Cosy booths to sit. Even bathroom done up to fit the style. Friendly and helpfull staff. Introduce each course in detail. Food presented well, not cheep but tasty and enough even though we are...quite big eaters. Had the king's shield. Nice for occssions.More
As everybody knows Corona pandemic has put some limits to every corner of the world. Now i had an gift card what expired during this period. Now i was thinking that maybe i dare to use it as it seems that it will not easy...up any time soon. I was quite stunned when this restaurant said its not valid anymore and you can throw it away! So i guess this is a way they want to rob their share of Corona support Euros: straight from tax payers. For me this means i will never set up a foot this place anymore and i hope everyone else is also measuring the ethics of this restaurant.More
Visited Harald restaurants couple of times earlier too and like on previous occasions, this time didn't let down. We had a biggest menu for two persons and it was fantastic and plenty. Quality of the food and really friendly service made our dinner very pleasant.
