Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The owner and the atmosphere has changed after the last visit. In my opinion not to the right way. The food was good and the personnel nice, but somehow the earlier cozy atmosphere was not there anymore. It was Friday evening and there was only...few couples and us. Quite a difference for earlier visits.More

This little Italian restaurant has always been popular, but the new owners have really put their heart and soul into renewing everything, from food to wine and the whole customer experience. They now also have a pretty terrace worth visiting. Genuine, tasty food and top...quality wines. Complimenti!More

Trattoria Romano was always good and always authentic Italian and the tradition continues under the new ownership; yes, also Italian owned and run. You won't get a bad glass of wine, always friendly and professional service; proper Italian food at proper prices. The photo included...in this review is of two halves from different pizzas as we wanted to try both; they were both excellent. Highly recommended!More

Best pasta in Finland After covid challenges, the legendary Trattoria Romana is open again . The place is located near fabulous Turku Dom, and serves just incredibly delicious food.

So bad and dishonest! Really bad pizzas with low-quality ingredients and they charged 25 euros for a quattro formaggio pizza even though it clearly says on the menu that all portions are 15 euros. The waiter pretended not to hear us when we complained and...did not return to our table until we had called on him four times to ask about the bill. The reason for the extraordinary price (more expensive than any pizza place you can find in Turku) he gave us was that the pizza had "expensive ingredients". Even if this was the case, which I doubt it was, he would have had to tell us the price when we ordered if it was not 15 euros, like the other pizzas on the menu. I asked the waiter why we were not informed about the more expensive price when ordering, and he did not reply. This is not just bad, it is bordering on illegal. We will never come back and I do not recommend anyone else to go here either.More

A very Roma-like small neighborhood trattoria. Friendly service, tasty and filling traditional dishes with moderate peices. Sometimes a bit slow service, though.

This is a place that has existed for decades which is always a guarantee for good quality and service. We didn't have to get disappointed this time either. We went quite there quite late without a reservation and we were lucky to get a table....I had tried their pastas before so this time I just went for their excellent pizzas. There's just two restaurants in town, both Italian owned, where I can be sure to have a genuine pizza experience and this is one of them. The service was just great, quick and polite. They have both good local beers as well as Italian ones. The place isn't big, so there's always a very family like atmosphere. We ordered both pizza, but different ones. Mine was really super and I also got to taste my wife's which also was great. The owner Rico always turns up at some moment and come for a chat. I really like his good sense of sarcastic humour. It was a perfect late dinner.More

The service was not good. Maybe the lady who worked there had a bad day, she seemed annoyed and when one of us asked what the feta salad contains, she almost rolled her eyes and answered "Well it's a basic feta salad, so feta and...cucumber and tomato", that's all she had to say. Food wasn't that great either, I had the salmon pasta, and honestly I could do the same disg at home, it was very disappointing... Apparently most of the pizzas were alright, but some were super salty. Not coming back here again.More
