Somebody should check how to make pizza, because these things here arent ones. No tomato sauce, no crust, no cheese. So 14€ for this poor example for a some sort of pizza isn’t worth it! Mathildedal’s beer was the only good thing here.
Pizza here is delicious. Toppings were good and tasty. Dough was also good, only bad thing about the pizza was the crust. It was so thin and burnt that it just cracked into crumbs. Overall good experience. Service was good and the restaurant is stylish.
The restaurant is situated in an old building right next to the river. At summertime you can enjoy your pizza on the outside terrace. We ordered two pizzas (Jack and Magda) for takeaway. The service was good and the pizzas were ready on time. Very...tasty pizzas with a thin base. If you want good pizza in Turku then try this place!More
We heard randomly about this place and went to check it. Pizza was so good and prices were also ok. Not the cheapest ones, but pizza is definitely worth it. The dow is some kind of Ålands bread so interesting to test and we definitely...will go back our next visit to Turku. Waitress man was so kind and service was fast. We booked a table because we've been told that this place is almost full otherwise.More
This pub restaurant serves archipelago pizzas in the ambiance of an old cargo ship. The restaurant concept is developed by a famous chef Michael Björklund from the Åland Islands. The idea is to serve local food produced from high-quality ingredients. There is also a pleasant...summer terrace. The place is very popular. Luckily, our friends had done the queuing. Our train to Turku was late.More
We went into this restaurant without having a booking. However, on that weekday and on that early evening, we got a table immediately. This pub has got its' name in accordance with a famous smuggler, Mr. Algot Niska. The decoration, photos and everything is resembling...from him. My colleague did try a calzone-typed pizza, which was tasty, as he said. I did have a chicken salad, served on unique way, in a wooden box.More
The restaurant offers pizza, salad and dessert. The food is good. However, the service was below standard. During the main course everything went fine. We were a group of eight. However, my dessert was served to someone else in the party. When the waiter came...back to the table with more desserts, she just picked up the plate and served it to me. I do not know it is the custom of the restaurant to re-serve food from one guest to other and I’m not going to find out. It might sound like a small thing. Would it make a difference if I said that the other person had a flu and the spoon looked interesting?More
Been there a couple of times during summer 2018 and summer 2019. Slow service is a given, one hour waiting time is pretty standard. Forgot me and my girlfriend's order twice in a row. All in all terrible customer service. The girls at the front...desk talk to each other while ignoring customers right in front of them. Trying to get them to communicate is like pulling teeth. Just all in all a terrible hassle. Keep walking down the river for another 200 meters for tenfolds better customer service and better pizzas.More
Nice pizzas, but awful espressos (very light stuff, almost like ordinary coffee ) Good service, reasonable prices. Needed a reservation in the evening.
Crispy, sort of cracker like base and quality toppings. Sounds good but I'd rather have a salad with croutons than a large crouton with salad. This is not my favorite setup but I'm probably wrong because the place was packed with people and some even...queued in. There is probably something local scene here or their Nordic beer selection is the thing, I'm puzzled. It's worth to check the terrace if you are interested in serious people watching.More
We ordered take-away pizza and waited for it for 1 hour!!! How is this even possible, cause pizza delivery takes same time?) A German couple was sitting next to us, and also waiting forever for their order. Niska chef, please visit Italian pizzerias and check...how fast can pizza be made. I’ll never visit this place again.More
Lots of restaurants in Turku are closed on Sunday. After attending the English service at the Turku Cathedral at 16:00, we found that only Pubs and Cafes were open. We were pleasantly surprised by the very thin crust pizza at Niska! Whoever heard of smoked...salmon on pizza? We found the combination of the salmon, pickled onions, and rucola (like Arugula) was fantastic! The atmosphere in this little pub was pleasant and the service was very good!More
Pizza is very tasty. During summertime the terrace is nice but watch out that seagulls don't steal your food!
They seated us 5 even though they were busy. Service was good and we all ate all our pizzas. They were delicious. We had to order a 6th pizza to share as they are small and combined with a beer and 2 sprites it ended...up being very expensive for what it is. In fairness - good pizza and good service, just make the pizzas bigger or reduce the priceMore
