Restaurants Blanko & Tintå closing temporarily for renovations: Due to massive HVAC, piping and electricity renovations that take place in the over 200 years old Bassi building, Blanko is forced to close its doors for the winter on October 16th, and Tintå for the rest of the year on October 23rd. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and thank all our customers for their patience. You are all warmly welcome once we open Tintå again in the beginning of the year and Blanko in spring 2018! Meanwhile, our sister restaurant Nerå keeps on serving you at Läntinen Rantakatu 37
We booked a table in advance, but there was an unfortunate double booking so we had to wait a bit. The staff was really nice and gave us glasses of sparkling wine and a discount for the bill because we had to share a table...:) The food was absolutely delicious and was presented nicely. The dishes sre large so you will be full for sure!
I want to return :)More
I went to Tintå a sunday with my colleague. It was one of the few restaurants that were open on a sunday and the reviews abd pics looked good but still it completely blew our minds. The restaurants was almost full, we didn't have a...booking but we got a table. I ordered the lamb skewer snd my colleague the korean pita. It was the best food we have had in a long time. We have the privilege to eat out quite often and sometimes at very highly rated establishments but this experience was so amazing. The staff, atmospehere and the very familiar yet amazingly clever food and palette combination was sensational. Just wow. To go to Turku without going to Tintå would be blasphemy from now on.More
The food came very fast. Maybe that was the problem...
I ordered Tintå's falafels, which in my opinion were more dough balls than falafels. All of the vegetables that came with the dish were refrigerator cold even the peaches that had grill marks on them....The dish didn't have pomegranate seeds or nuts as stated on the menu. Instead there was a tomato and quinoa mash. I don't know what the idea behind the dish was. It was more like the kitchen dumpster than a thoughtful dish.
The bread that came with my meal (not mentioned on the menu either) was delicious though!
I also had the vegan tiramisu. There was so much amaretto in it that it overpowered all the other flavours.More
Judging by the few last reviews this place has some issues concerning the consistency of food. However our evening was near perfect. Table booked ( is a must to do) but arrived early, so we took some tapas and barolo on the terrace. Its possible...to eat outside without reservation, if the plentiful walk by traffic doesn't bother you. At the table we took Korean pita, which was just fantastic: when in Korea you make a roll of fillings in a large mangoldi/lettuce leave here the food was piled on a large pita bread. Wery good authentic taste. Sadly the beer scewer with fries was just all too salty, and just basic "steak and fries" after all. Efficient and friendly service.More
Weeknight 22 pm. We were in very late, but still we expected for this place to live up our expectations. It did not. The house special fries were soft, terrible mash. The weird porridge-like, oddly dry Tiramisu dragged me down to dessert hell. I’ve never...been offered such a failed, most likely off-the-freezer -version before. The seafood and cheese/strawberries pizzas were smallish, but good, but even they and the friendly attentive service could not turn this 3-course dinner into a winner.More
We got great service at our Sunday lunch in Tintå. They organised to us teo seat at bar desk. By the way It is almost impossible to find open restaurant in Turku on Sunday. At the riverside almost all restaurants are closed. I do not...recommend to be a tourist in Turku, at least not to be hungry.More
