Elegant cafe in the heart of Turku

This cafe is located in a recently renovated beautiful old building in the very centre of Turku. The interior is simple but stylish and their cakes and sandwiches are delicious. Service was friendly and very efficient. Beer and wine also available. It may not be the cheapest place in town but definitely worth a visit when you feel like enjoying some delights in Turku.

Good cafe with food

Nice lunch enjoyed at Cafe Fontana. At lunch time cafe was nicely busy but we found a table. Service was polite and fast. Day’s lunch manu had e.g., harissa majo burger and schrimps ceasar salad. Nice visit!

Always trustworthy

A beautiful cafe, one of the oldest in Turku. Delicious sweet and savoury treats and pretty good coffee. A very popular place but quite big, also nice seating outside in good weather.

Assalla - Like a Railway Station

Remontilla Fontana ei parantunut. (English below) Sisustus kuin juna-asemalla, ei juuri mitään pehmentämässä ääntä ja tunnelmaa. Avokeittiön soisi olevan jo historiaa, se trendijuna meni jo. Käry, kokkien työrauha, asiakkaiden rauha, tilan rauhallisuus, hygienia ym. kärsivät ja mitään ei saa vaihdossa. Arvion lukitsi huonosti valutettu ja heikkolaatuinen espresso. Recently renowated, but not for better. Feels like being in Railway Station, not in a Cafe. Blank walls and cold enterior. Open kitchen has never been a good idea, not for customers, food or staff. Final nail in the coffin was poor espresso in a messy cup.

A great place. We had lunch and the food was lovely. The limonade as well. A good atmosphere and a place with a nice interior. Friendly staff and good location. Spacious. Would love to come again.

Terrible place.

It is a terrible place!!! My man and me were in this cafe today, we were very hungry and took the salads with chicken and pasta with salmon, but, sorry, there was too much mayonnaise in salads that we could not eat them, pasta was with terrible smell and without salmon. I don’t recommend this place!!!

Place is nice, usually pretty crowded. Cafe, pastries and drinks are good. Food is quite nice, but nothing special. If you want good food and coffee this is your place. The value is okey, maybe a bit price for the quality.

We had 2 club sandwiches and halloumi Burger. Both were delicious and full of flavour. They don't have desserts in this restaurant which was a bummer.

Newly renovated, nice furnituring but VERY loud. So not so relaxing.. talking to a friend was not easy even there was only normal customers. Food was average, service better than before.

Brunching with friends

I have been here many times and it's always pretty nice. This time I went with my friends to try the Saturday brunch, where instead of it being a buffet you can choose from 3 to 5 individual portions. I enjoyed it really much, and thought that it is better than their traditional Sunday buffet brunch. The dishes were delicious and there was many options to choose from. Also good gluten free and vegetarian options available.
