Service is nice and polite, atmosphere is great. Place is owned and managed by actual greeks, and it shows! Definetely the best greek cuisine i have had outside of greece. Have visited many times, and will be back for more!

We spended my wife's birthday in this lovely greek restaurant, because usually we have her birthday celebration in Greece. Covid19 epidemic made our decision easy and we decided to travel in Turku. Anyway we wanted to tell and share our experience about restaurant Afrodite. We...had a table reservation and when we arrived to restaurant, one nice friendly waiter welcomed us and guided to our table. First expression was wow! Inside atmosphere looked like authentic greek taverna with greek music! Tasty good food and drinks made our visit perfect. Prices versus quality was in balance. this taverna is run by a language chameleon from Athens. He was very pleasant to talk to and accommodating when I asked for a slightly different plate than what was on the menu. Food was well prepared, tasty and hot. We had a really good...time and can only recommend this restaurant. Great value for money spent!!More

This is probably the best way to experience Greece in Finland during these hard Covid 19 times. What an authentic feeling of a Greek holiday we got. Excellent food and friendly service - our little girls really appreciated attention and little extras. Thank you!

I never expected to find such a good Greek restaurant in Finland and in Turku. No matter what I will write down cannot express the height of perfection that I had, the gyros, the moussaka, the stuffed peppers. Not even my mother cooks like that....Christos and Eleni are placing their hearts and souls in this restaurant and you can tell by their superior qualityMore

And by experience I mean not only great great food, but the vibe in general - it does bring you back to Greece. It's a place where you eat well and a lot, the staff will go extra mile to make you all feel welcomed...and generally you will spend a great time - just prepare to wait!! That's the only improvement I can add (our dinner lasted 2.5h and with small tired babies it was a bit too much). Definitely worth a try and we will be back next time visiting Turku - gems like this are not to be missed!More

I was glad to find out, that there is a Greek Restaurant in Turku again. Good location near Turku Cathedral, traditional Greek interior, fast and attentive service. I decided to take small Halloumi Salad as a starter and then continued with Pita Gyro. Their small...salad(9€) was main course size! So I wonder how big is their big salad :) Pita Gyro(7€) was wrapped nicely and tasted good, like that salad also. So overall tasty food for reasonable price and friendly service alsoMore

Uhh, this taverna is amazing. I was killed right away when I tried only the salad not even the first dish. I don't know what to imagine when I come to Greece and visit a restaurant or taverna because I got so much impressed after...this taverna in Turku. Whoever you are, you have to visit this place if something connects you with Greece. I was told by a waitress who is much older than me, that if you have a right company it doesn't matter where to go. So, if you have a Greek company you should go to this place FOR SURE!!More
