Very basic and no surprises here. Pricey compared on what you get so better optiona out there. If the cousins style is something you like, it’s okay.
This is by far the best Georgian restaurant! I love the food, interior and warm service. I recommend if you have not visited yet <3
Visited Rioni, Turku, with my wife on Saturday evening. The place was full throughout the evening, which must say something about the food/service and also should remind you to make a reservation. We took the supra for two, just to make the selection process easy....It was both delicious and plenty. The staff was friendly and easy going, and they offered us some free drinks as it took a bit more time for our mains to arrive. This gesture was much appreciated although it was actually nice to have a short pause after the starters. All in all, a positive suprise and would highly recommend.More
One of my favourite restaurants in Turku! Different and authentic, always good service and amazing tastes! We left with great feelings:) If I have a guest I want to take to restaurant, Rioni never dissapoints!
We visited Rioni with group of 8 friends and took a Supra menu they have for groups, It was amazing... a lot of different type of food and all of it was tasty! Special diet also well taken care of! Thanks
What a lovely evening! Great food and wine with excellent, friendly service. We took the "supra" dinner, everything was tasty. I liked the service a lot, the house was full of customers. Highly recommended, we'll come again!
Amazing food, with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Book your table in advance, and starve yourself for 2 days prior coming here.
Since I liked the place - and Georgian food in general - I went twice in a row to the 'Rioni', named after Western Georgia's largest river and apparently a chain in Finland with branches also in Helsinki, Espoo and Tampere. The Finnish waitress asked...me on the first evening, if I knew about Georgian food, and when I said, that I had been twice to Georgia, she exclaimed: 'Oh, I envy you!' Since I felt like a glass of white wine before dinner, I asked for a Tsinandali, but they didn't have it at the moment, as the young waitress told me, only as of tomorrow again (she was right as I found out the next day). I didn't know the other white wine on offer, a 'Krakhuna', so the waitress, who was not only friendly, but also professional, gave me the option to try it first. Since I didn't like it, I went for a Rosé Saperavi instead, which was okay. As starter I had on the first evening 'Nigvziani Badrijani', eggplant rolls with walnuts, here topped by pomegranate seeds, and on second evening 'Pkhali', three balls in the colours red, green and yellow, made from pastes with either beetroots, spinach or beans. Both are two of my favourite Georgian dishes and I enjoyed them. Very typical were also my main courses, both to be eaten by hand in a special way, as I had found out, when travelling in Georgia: Khinkali and Adjaruli Khachapuri. Both excellent and filling, so there was no room for a Zgapari dessert, a layered honey cake. Instead I went for an espresso with once a Chacha, a Georgian grappa, and once a Sarajishvili VS brandy. A bit funny was the fact, that what I had twice came with a different price on the two evenings. The glass of Mukuzani 16cl (red wine) cost 12 EUR the first time and 13 EUR the second time. The Espresso was once EUR 3.80, then just EUR 3. Maybe this depends on the mood of whoever makes the bill.More
First place ever where food was delicious and the portions in menu were so big that we needed to take some with us in take-away bag. And I am a big guy.
Amazing and tasty cuisine! Perfect service with kind personnel. Highly recommended! Adjar Khatchapuri and Khinkali - must try as long as Tarkhun for the drink. Tbilisuri salad is authentic and tasty.
We went to eat with colleagues. There was cheese bread, quail, vegetarian food, etc. Absolutely absurd disappointment !! My vegetarian food didn't taste anything. Nothing and it was ice cold after all. The cheese bread contained a great deal of garlic but it still tasted...like something other than cardboard. Dishes REALLY SMALL, service in English only, Cold food and hunger left for everyone There was not even salt in the food. Nice idea but no need to go again, money is just wasted.More
Had a wonderful tasty lunch. Very nice service as well. Highly recommended. We had Georgian food for the first time and they explained about the food & culture.
Thanks Vasili for the great service. The food you recommended was perfect, and we loved the lesson on the technique for eating Georgian dumplings. Thanks 😊
Chicken salad and cheese bread. Delicious! A perfect combination. 1 order of each is enough for 2 people!
