I try to visit Komppeli every time I travel to Turku. I just love their Vegan Schnitzel dish, made from wheat protein (seitan). It is one of the best seitan dishes ever, and only in München have I had a better vegan schnitzel.

This place is so inconspicuous you could easily miss it … but don’t! It’s nothing fancy and the menu is small, but it’s cozy and charming and the food and service (you order and pay at the counter but the experience couldn’t be more pleasant)...are absolutely excellent.More
Very good food and large dishes for 11eur per dish. We liked it and recommend. You will have a selection of 6 daily dishes to choose between. A small soup and white bread, also cold water is served as complementary extra.
Finally made it to the restaurant. Gamba piri piri is our favorite. Make sure to mop up the garlic chili oil with bread :) I liked beetroot falafel, too. Service was quick and friendly. We will come back!
On our way to the port, we stopped here for lunch. The interior is quite small but luckily there were not many people as we were quite late for lunchtime. The food was tasty. It had excellent value for money.
Just a block from the river..Interesting choice of food on offer. Chose pike patties and slow cooke pork with chilli. Young friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Went to this nice restaurant for lunch on Friday afternoon, there were no other visitors so we enjoyed our meal in silence. Friendly staff. Free water and bread. Large portions of amazing food, so make sure you're really hungry before going there.
We came here with friends, and the service was pretty nice and the dishes were everybody for everybody. And the prices are acceptable, comparing to Finland, they are really friendly. I really recommend this place. :)
This place is a traditional 'lunch restaurant' which means that they're serving heavy dishes with good prices. They've a selection of different steaks with sides as well as salads and falafel. The portion size is big, but the dishes are good quality nevertheless. I went...with the steak with fried potatoes and black pepper sauce. My only complaint is that I ordered the steak medium and got it well-made. Regardless overall great experience.More
We were a group of 7 for lunch (highly recommend to book table in advance, the restaurant is small and quite busy). The service was fast and professional, and food arrived quickly and at the same time. Good quality-price ratio. Picture of Teriyaki pork with...noodles.More
It's always a great experience to come here and enjoy good service and great food with family or friends. The service is friendly and fast in addition to the medium prices and great quality food. Top recommendations, thumbs up!
Komppeli lies in a nearly unnoticeable location close to the Martinsilta. The lunch serving consists of an appetizing soup, a choice of 3-4 mains, well-cooked and home-like dishes, bread & butter, coffee and a small desert cake. The young staff make feel at home and...serve you with a smile in no-nonsense manner.More
Komppeli has extended their business hours and now serves dinner until 8 (at least on weekdays!) We had heard good things about their fries, so decided to stop by for dinner. The menu is not too long and we tried both burgers on the menu...(harissa-lamb and portobello). The food did not disappoint! Good burgers, good fries, chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely stop by again.More
Simple little lunch place. Service very quick. Meal includes small bowl of tomato-vegetariansoup. Bread/butter table on the side, you can go and get it yourself. Average price for lunch 9-10 euros. Even vegatarian beef was very tasty. You can choose French fries, cooked potatoes or...salad with your beef. After the meal you can go and take a cup of coffee and a small bun as a desert. You shouldn't leave hungry.More
I visited Komppeli with a pair of friends and the meal of the day was pork neck with potatoes in a cheese sauce. And it was so delicious! Probably one of the best lunches I have eaten in Turku. I will go back again.
