Excellent vegetarian dishes. Best asparagus ever and the combination of eggplant and black salsity was brilliant. Good wines and friendly serving. Just loved it.

Tasty and creative vegetarian food even for a meat-lover like myself. The service was kind and the waiting-times were short!
The food was amazing, especially the starters. Cocktails were also really good. We wish the sauces of the fried feta would have been served separately, not on top of the feta block. Sauces made crust soft, only the parts that weren’t covered with the sauce...were crispy. Our waiter was really kind and professional. Thank you! We will come back again!More
Usually I use trip advisor only for bad experiences. This place was outstanding ä. Excellent food. The price for the menu (50€) was every cent worth it. High quality of food and the quantity of portions was enormous ;) Great place discovered by accident during...a two day visitMore
We are not vegetarians but decided to try this restaurant. We took the house menu with the drinks and everything was great. A truly tasteful menu. We can recommend this place. Friendly and trained staff😊👍👍
I was a late evening walk-in-customer to a packed restaurant on a Thursday night, but the friendly staff found me a table promptly. Even though the kitchen must have been swamped with orders, all my three dishes arrived with a very reasonable waiting time. Service...was friendly and attentive. I had three vegan dishes: The vegan version of the tomato tartare was topped with a tofu cream instead of an egg, and it worked really well. All in all, an exceptionally good tomato dish! The parsnip satay curry was to die for: the parsnip was grilled beautifully, almost becoming like candy on the charred side but remaining moist and tender otherwise, the curry sauce wa ssucculent, and the shredded radish and cucumber on top offered a great counterpoint. The vegan baklava was complemented with a strawberry foam and rose leaf sherbet. I also loved the Italien white wine, a grape variety I was not familiar with before.More
Excellent food, good portioning and variety. Best vegetarian restaurant in Turku I've tried sofar. Will definitely come back.
Lovely sunny day in July and we stopped at the restaurant by chance. Lovely outdoor seating where we could people watch and a limited lunchtime menu so choosing was easy - Jerusalem artichoke risotto for me and smashed aubergine on toast for my partner. Both...perfect. Thinking of returning for tomorrow’s different lunch menu.More
I chose this place because I wanted to try out a vegetarian restaurant. I was eating by myself and chose the manu as recommended. Well, the food was good, above average, the portion size was huge. At least one dish could have been left off...and I would have been full. Many of the dishes were quite acidic, I would have wished for more variation in tastes. The thig that bothered me the most, was loud music and overall noisy atmosphere.More
Good food, but there are better and more priceworthy restaurants in Turku. The service could alsobe improved. As far as vegetarian restaurants go, Hügge’s location and atmosphere puts it among the very top ones.
Great food rich with flavors, nice and quick service even when the place was full of people. Prices were reasonable. Recommendations!
I went there to have a beer in the terrace. First, all looks great, people seem to have a good time. Order didn't go well, long waiting, then draft beer. Finally, then the first bite and something is wrong, taste was buttery, it's spoiled. Then...thinking, need I really to go to the line again, ...yes. Resolution, new same beer on the different draft, before was able to tell that I want beer in bottle or can, but they didn't wait a customer. Then again, Lot a waiting. -beer comes and stated I didn't order that. Finally, it was simple to ask money back and they actually through my money on the bar counter. All the time they were unfriendly and almost hostile (what a fus* are you doing here)More
My wife had been talking about this restaurant for a long time, so I decided to take her there to celebrate her birthday. We had a table reservation for 20.30 and the place was absolutely crammed full. It was a bit hot since the area...we sat in didn't have AC, but it wasn't too bad. We ordered aubergine burgers, and what can I say... It was easily the best vegetarian food I've ever had. Also despite the place being full, the food arrived very quickly. My wife also had some dessert drink, which she liked very much.More
We are regular customers visiting Hugge every now and then. Because of its decent food and good service me and my wife enjoyed sitting and having tasteful vegetarian dish. Our visit yesterday however, was a complete disappointment. Mind-numbingly slow service: It took them over 40...min to bring our starter (Hugge flatbread which is a very simple dish), and another 45-50 min to get main course (Deep fried eggplant burger and cauliflower-coconut curry) which made the total visit to over 2 hours! It was simply obvious that other customers are also having the same extremely slow service experience. Everybody was frustrated with waiting for something, could be starter, main course, dessert, collecting used dishes or pay check. The only quick service was ordering a drink! Discrimination in service: This was the most annoying part of our visit. While almost all tables including ours were waiting for an extremely long period to get our orders, a couple came and sat just beside our table who were served in an incredible speed! I can confidently say that because they came 1.5h later than us and they were having their desserts when we left! Everybody was exhausted with waiting to get service like used dishes collected while waitresses cleaned that table immediately when they were finished!. They got every course right after another although the others were waiting for a long time to be served. We waited so long to get the check that we had to call them ourselves to collect used dishes and bring the check. Bad day can be worse: We went for a walk after that and after half an hour my stomach started to feel some pain. The whole night I felt uncomfortable after eating there. I am writing this feedback because Hugge used to be our favorite restaurant in Turku as a reliable place to eat, and we wish for it to remain. Hopefully it was just a bad day and these problems would not happen again.More
Not being devout vegetarians we went to Hugge simply for the experience of a meat-free menu. And we were not disappointed in any sense of the word. Despite my initial bewilderment at the chosen cocktail being served in a rustic looking copper mug, the food...is beyond doubt an explosion of exotic and interesting flavours. All the courses were well presented by the all female waiting staff, served promptly and cooked in a fashion that would satisfy most gourmets. We requested a particular table well in advance and were granted our wish which had an outlook to the pedestrian precinct and the river Aura. Tables are spaced conveniently but the bare cement walls echo noise so that with a full complement of patrons it can be quite noisy and the bass 'thump' was the only noticeable characteristic that any form of music was being broadcast. However, for a vegetarian experience this must be near the top of any comparative list.More
