terrible service. seemed to have no idea that i had booked. Surly and unfriendly. If you can get passed that then the food is fine.

This is the S••T! I have gone to nice restaurant alot in my life. Smör took it the next level. Food amazing obviously. Biggest positive was not the food. It was the perfect flow of our 5 hour experience. Our server was professional +++ AAA...and kept the pace of food, wine and our social interactions perfect. We ate the signature menu with wine package.More
We had tastingmenu with wines. It was excellent. The waitress was really competent and funny. Att all we had great dinner.
This is why fancy restaurants sometimes have a bad rep. Food was not even ok and the explanation was a new menu. What a poor explanation. If they need to adjust to a new menu, they should have lower prices as well. We paid a...lot of money for something that was someone's training cooking, and tasted that as well.More
Very good restaurant but food not the most high end as you would expect. Quality products, excellent service, just little bit taste missing on 7 course Smör menu.
Our dinner at Smör was enjoyable, but not different from your average fine dining. Writing this review a few weeks after the fact, there is not many distinctive things to remember. The restaurant is definitely a good option for a business or couples dinner.
As you enter the restaurant, there are no give-aways that you are in for a great culinary experience - rather the opposite. The locale is down-to-earth, rather simple, and reminds you of one of many everyday cafés you come across everywhere. Your interest awakes as...you see the menu. Although short, it is distinct: Smor presents classical Finnish tastes i an innovative and modern manner that truly tease your taste-buds as you make up your mind. Make it a simple choice: Go for one of the two proposed menues! These comprise a well composed selection of the entire restaurant menu. The full menu (Smor menu) comprise six courses, but do not let that number put you off: Each course is fairly small, but so rich in tastes, and so well composed to complement another, that you easily come through the entire menu without filling overly «stuffed». The meal is to be enjoyed with all senses: the visual beauty of how it is presented, the wonderfull scent from each course, the delightfull sound as you hear how each course responds to your knife, fork (and occassional spoon), and finally the delightfull taste of each bite. The service was good, without being overdone - but good attentiveness and knowledge. The wine selection is sufficient, but could be both broader and deeper. This is no restaurant that imposes itself upon you, but believe me: It truly delivers a great gourmet experience you would expect to find in much more fancy surroundings!More
We had booked a table well beforehand, but we were seated in a separate dining room at the back of the restaurant. There were no windows or anything interesting to look at, only blank white walls. We assumed that the food would compensate for the...poor atmosphere. We ordered the five course menu, and we only liked 2-3/5 meals. All meals were average, nothing really stands out as being amazing. The worst meal was the main course, which was CHICKEN, cooked badly. The service was great, our waiter was professional. Not enough value for the money - you expect more out of a 62€ per person meal (plus €€ for drinks).More
If you find restaurant where you want spend time with you friend or business colleague, I think that is right place. Great food and nice wines from small vineyards. The peaceful and elegant environment helps to relax.
The restaurant is situated in the city center by the river Aura. It is a fine dining joint. The food ( 5 course surprise menu) was very good and innovative. However, the associated wine package was overpriced and mediocre. Service was immaculate and very friendly.
Me and my girlfriend spend 2 days in Turku and since we both like fine dining, we did not get disappointed. We chose the 5 course tasting menu with accompanied wines and everything was perfect. My girlfriend especially loved the dessert. The waiter was very...passionate about the wines and the served food. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back to this restaurant when we visit Turku again. Attached a picture of the main course which was entrecote. .More
Great experience. It is nice to get surprised by the cook who is making the menu for you. Good association of tastes, respecting the products taste and essence. I have to mention also the very warm welcoming crew and good advices from the sommelier.
The food is great, but the service is to die for. We ordered the five-course menu, and had the luxury of having the best waitress (at least in my opinion) for the evening. The stories, the knowledge etc... Omg, I would pay just to hear...more of them! I really recommend this place, a must see in Turku for everyone that loves food!More
During these troubled times it is relieving to know that some restaurants remain open. Smor is one and for a celebratory meal we enjoyed the full attention of the dedicated staff. The food was excellent, the service equally so and the lack of patrons made...the experience both enchanting and personal. The menu is limited but cannot be faulted and I would have no hesitation to recommend this restaurant to potential patrons.More
We had one cocktail each, five course tasting menu and wines for it. One menu was without meat but fish, another wasn’t restricted. The environment is cosy, yet there perhaps a couple of tables too many. Thus the restaurant is not too intimacy. The service...was a bit slow and we had one course serves without wines. It seemed like there weren’t enough waiters. Be prepared to wait! The food was good, not excellent. Meat was used in a boring way. Cow fillet as a main course is nothing new. Then again fish was great! A special shoutout to the clam with Asian twist, as it really brought us back to Asia! The wines were a great fit for the menu. I can recommend Smör, if you will take a menu without meat.More
