Excellent pizza, service was fast and so kind. Loved the atmosphere and especially the pizza. Good location too.

Very cozy athmosphere. Locations is nice. Food were very good and with good price. One minus came to waittresses. They were too busy and forgod orders. They were not on level what could be expected at restaurant like Gustavo. Menu is wide and every food...course what we taste was good.More

Been in Gustavo many times and never has it let me down. On my last visit took my new workers there for business dinner and drinks. We were fortunate that the owner and head chef Markus was leaving home, but he suggested what to have...for dinner and it didn't fail. For some reason I've always dismissed Gustavo as a potential place, when I've looked for a restaurant. Now that I've been there, I can't but wonder why on the earth. The place cosy and friendly, the food was truly delicious and it cost less than...I expected. I might have given five points, but the food was a bit too salty, particularly the cod. I was also a bit disappointed, because the menu was not the same as in the web page in the previous night. I'm not complaining, though, everything we ate, was delicious.More

Had dinner with my friend. We took appetizers which were really good and tasty. Especially olives were really nice, haven't had this fresh olives in Finland before. For the main we took pizzas. The crust was crunchy and chewy and they give you scissors to...cut it. I found that quite weird, but pizza was good. The staff was very polite and helpful and they suggested wines to match the food. We definitely go again!More

We went with Turku Food Walk card to start the evening with Gustavo's pinxos. Entering the restaurant, we were asked if we have a reservation. No, we don't. We got very blunt "we are fully booked", with the tone of voice that made us feel...like fools, the message came through like "what are you doing here without booking?" No apology, no friendly invitation for the next time. Very rude. It was relatively early, not many tables had customers, I think they could have accommdated us for a quick starter if they were just willing to serve. We dont have to come back again.More

Second time visiting Gustavo, both times have been a success. The starters were excellent, on both occasions, however the star of the show was the lobster risotto with grilled tuna. Highly recommend to try it.

Gustavo, located opposite Turku Cathedral is very popular among the local folk so reservations are recommended. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening in spite of the hard wall surfaces reflecting sound that was a little too loud for a quiet night out. The welcoming was...friendly and the staff maybe a little over enthusiastic to take our order before we had time to open the menu, but Sonja, who subsequently served us admirably with good humour and a very good sense of timing more than made up for the initial feeling or urgency. The food was cooked and presented well and we both left feeling that we had eaten sufficient to last several days. The menu is not too extensive and is predominantly pizza based and similarly the desserts are limited in number, but overall I can recommend Gustavo as a very enjoyable and satisfying place to dine.More

Busy night, we had a big table but service was good. Food was ok too but not excellent. Very good wines though.

I was told only great things about Restaurant Gustavo. However none of them was describing it as great as it actually was. Starting from reservation to be done, everything went great. You could feel that you truly are guest that is waited. Service was humble,...kind and high class. No need for clueless waiting. We had pizzas with us and there were great ones. They were big enough and tasty, like really tasty! At the end with bill you got limoncello glass. That made you truly feel like being in Italy or so! As one spending a lot time in restaurants with my beloved ones, for sure Gustavo will be one to go, when ever I am in Turku again.More

Dined in Gustavo with friends on a Friday night . Place seems to be popular so booked a table a few days in advance . The waitress was eager to serve and asked us to order twice before even we all were seated . Looks...like pinchos is the new way to overcharge for tiny amount of food . Also seems like it’s pretty unclear what pinchos are as some of the dishes we were served were just a small amount of food on a plate . I ordered 5 different portions as the waitress recommended it would be a good amount . The bill was then over 40 euros per head plus wine . Not worth over 160 euros we paid for 2 persons dinner ....... Probably pizza would’ve been a better choice . Remains to be seen .... or not , as I don’t think I’ll be back .More
