Very nice flavours

Some very nice Asian food there. Quite different from your ordinary Chinese. I really enjoyed the full-bodied flavours of the food. The service is friendly too. They have an excellent salad buffet included in the meals which bring great value for your money. I recommend.

Excellent food with excellent service!

Our family has been eating in Faasai once a week for over ten years. Food is really great! Many different kinds of portions and all good. Service is best in town. You really feel that you are welcome in Faasai. Our favorite restaurant in Tampere!

Excellent thai food on reasonable price level and exceptionally friendly staff. Great place to meet friends. Tom yam goong was ordered as spicy and yes, it really was, but tasty

NOO WAYYY. I am shocking to see that many people doesnt know how the great quality food tastes and then they judging an average place as one of the best place in Tampere, if this is the best thai place then sorry friends Finland has long way to go in International food culture. After so many positive reviews and hype of this one thought of trying out this place for lunch buffet. Boyy how dissapointing it was. Nothing close to even a vietnami buffet we have in our small town in Ostrobotten. Limited items. None of them was true thai food. Bland chicken dish. Average rice. The fish was heavely bread crumb quoted and the fish was just some low quality watery with no taste. We were not able to finnish our plates. Usually i dont write negative reviews as i belong to the same Industry but this was an exception sorry. Service was great though.

Crispy and tasty spring rolls followed by very good Tom Kha soup. Then absolutely the best Pad Thai ever. My vegetarian sons continued with some tofu in garlic and spicy sauce. Also 10/10. We’ll be back for sure. Highly recommended. Good central location

Fabulous food

Tried this restaurant on our first night in Tampere. Excellent food, lovely, helpful staff and very generous portions. We sat outside as the weather was sunny and very warm. We ordered our food and drinks, which were served promptly, although we were not rushed at all. The salad bar was an extra we hadn’t anticipated, which was both nice and plentiful. We shared spring rolls as a starter and then had a red curry and a massaman curry both with chicken. We would definitely go again if in Tampere.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere

My meal tasted great - although I don't eat Thai food that often. The service was excellent and the atmosphere agreeable. I would definitely eat there again. Two of my friends rated their meals as good, but not more. The portion sizes were big and this suited us fine. Overall 4/5 and recommended - but if you are a connoisseur of Thai food, you may disagree, based on another reviewer's comments below! Certainly the staff seemed to do their very best to please us.

Great massaman curry

Have had the tofu and veggies version of their massaman curry several times, and it never disappoints! Big portion size and nice spices in the curry sauce. The only minus is sometimes it's difficult to get service there, the staff just disappears.

Surprisingly high ratings in TA despite the restaurant being run-down and dirty. The location is excellent and very central, but the place in desperate need of renovation and of a through scrubbing. The table and the menu folders were sticky of old grease. The food then. We were here for supper. There was a free salad buffet for starters. Dull and with an odd mixture of ingredients, some quite far from thai kitchen (e.g. plain green salad, tomato slices, grated carrots, canned tuna, canned pineapple, coleslaw, plus olives and feta cheese). Ordered two different main courses with chicken, both the spiciest on the menu. The rise was well cooked, but the stir fried chilies with paprika, bamboo and basil leaves as well as the respective red curry were disappointing. Hot as they should be, but without any other aromas or flavours than the overwhelming chili. Attentive and friendly service.

Very good, could be spicier

My wife and I have eaten here several times. She usually has pad thai, and I go with one of the curries. She raves about the pad thai. The curries are good, but they could stand a little more spice. The vegetables are always fresh, and a typical Finnish salad bar is included in the price of dinner. There's a limited wine and beer list, and a few stronger liquors if you're so inclined. I usually go with a basic Finnish Class III lager, Karhu. Good beer to wash down moderately spicy food with. I recommend it, especially if you're leery of trying Thai food because of its spicy reputation. Prices are the low side of moderate. Two entrees, a beer and a glass of the house wine, and we're right around 40 Euros. And since this is Finland, no tipping. It's small, with limited seating, but we've never had to wait for a table. They also have a luonas (lunch in Finnish) buffet, which we've never tried.
