Checked on Tripadvisor the previous night. Liked the interior, seemed to be open 11-22 and thought I could take my parents for a long lunch with appetisers and glasses of wine etc. Food looked fine dining level. When we got there, we were escorted to...the table. The place was almost empty. It must have been closer to 13:45. They saw us with a small baby, we even said that we would like to see the menu and will be going to the toilet to change the baby before. They told us they serve at this time only lunch with two options: pepper steak or halloum. Fine, we took the steaks. While we were changing the baby (on the cold toilet floor because there was no surface to put her on), we had received our steaks and my father had been the only one to eat it warm. My mum ate hers already cold while I consolidated the baby. Needless to say, I did not eat mine. It was cold and you could tell the potatoes were dry. The sauce looked like vomit. I couldn’t tell based on my portion that the same cook would be able to cook ala carte dishes. Also: They were not fries like they told us but sliced potatoes, looked ready made from the freezer. I was super upset and I rarely return my food. Anyway, to my surprise they were also completely closing at 15, not at 22. I guess hence the hurry with our food. I gave them feedback about the matter. Apparently they have started to be open only during lunch on January 7th. It was mid February. Guess they don’t have enough customers (not surprised). Would have appreciated to know that they were serving lunch only for a short time if at all at the time of our arrival. Yes, we would have gone elsewhere but possibly come back later when we visit Tampere again. Now I will never come back nor recommend the place based on their food, unprofessional service (you should have seen most of us were not at the table and kept our lunch under a heated lamp - serving basic 101) or the general experience (yes, I noticed you turned the music louder when my baby was crying and it seemed to bother you - only you because there was nobody else there at 14:20 when we started to leave). Too bad. You should never upset hungry people. Would have posted the pic of my lunch but didn’t want to cause people to feel ill while looking at it. :(More

...nothing nice to say about this one. Rude service, messy and low quality food, dirty toilet,... looks like a nice restaurant but many pubs serve better food. And our whole group was as amazed as I am... they serve also lunch, but VERY tiny portions.

Great atmosphere: comfortable and friendly. The food was quickly prepared and both choices from the lunch menu were great. Plenty of food, coffee & biscuits included, for less than 10€.

One of the worst lunch for a long time... very small, and I mean Very small. Boring, bland, no taste... Several times now visited here, but it was again disappointment.. place looks nice though.

Fabric web info and also Tableonline description promises a lot, but when entering and experiencing Fabric for a few minutes the disappointment is obvious. There is a major mismatch in between the interior and service compared to the menu and pre assumptions of the restaurant....The interior is like a normal pub, very basic, even rugged. The service follows the same, but the menu and food quality is on a different level. Tasty, well presented food saves a couple of points for Fabric.More

I think we were the last dining customers on May 1st. We took the vappu menu which was actually quite good. We had a nice table on the 2nd floor. The service was friendly and waitresses were still smiling after the long, busy days serving...people having vappu mood.More

We visited the place at the lunch time although we didn't want to eat lunch per se. I had sirloin steak and it was prepared quite quickly and it was tasty. They have Bryggeri Helsinki beers on tap (4 beers). The atmosphere could be a...bit different in the evening.More
