Probably the coziest Café

Probably the coziest Café in Tampere. The Café is situated right in the middle of the city close to Tammerkoski rapid. The surrounding is genuine but the most perfect thing is the customer experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and you can really feel their inner feeling! Really worth a visit.

Coffee with great personality and freshly baked pulla. Friendly staff, wide variety of cakes and a great concept behind: this is definitely a place where people can connect.

Stopped for a coffee. We were drawn to the place because of its comfortable look and artsy feel. Not disapointed in that regard. Overall nice place.

Over priced, tiny cafe

Small cafe with high prices for the quality it serves. We tried it because of the "good" reviews, but the experience was not as expected. Plus, one thing I hate, we ordered toasts, and it was made without gloves or utensils.. Unhygienic.

Good opening hours and a great ambiance

This is not a cafe you should go for to find the best coffee in Tampere, the same goes for teas even though the selection is quite good. That said, everything they serve is adequate at the least, some of the cake are excellent. The selling point here is the cozy, friendly atmosphere and exceptional opening hours for a coffee place. A perfect place to meet friends in and spend some quality time.

Coffee and cake

Stopped quickly for a cup of coffee and something sweet with the kids. Nice interior but hard to find a table. A bit expensive compared to the quality and taste.

Lovely cafe

We randomly chose this place for a late breakfast, had coffee, chai tea and some feta cheese pie. This is a place for anyone, as we walked in there were businessmen, a family with a baby and elderly men in the relaxed atmosphere. The paintings on the walls are for sale. Good coffee and croissants!

Cozy little place.

This place is somehow special and not just a typical coffee store you see around. This has its own of a kinda atmosphere and specially for artistic people will appreciate it. It is made with an idea that you just sit there in quiet and enjoy your coffee and a book.. Pretty cool!

Best coffee shop in Tampere

By far the best coffee shop in Tampere. Good coffee from Mokkamestarit. Great gelato. Quiche, mud cake, apple cake, cookies and of course the cinnamon buns are baked on premises. Lots of teas as well. Just an overall great establishment with all aspects considered. Has made its mark in Ojakatu and Tampere

Cozy small coffee place

Good coffee, just baked cinnamon rolls, todays magazines and even the little library. You can also have some salt minibreads and pies, and delicious blueberry, strawberry, rasberry pies The service is nice and delicate. They have also many regular customers, whose preferences they remember.

Friendly place with great coffee

Kahvila Runo is a cosy place with excellent atmosphere and tasty sugary and salty delights made in the same cafe. Good coffee and huge selection of teas. No wifi, but who needs it if you have someone local to talk to, or a fresh newspaper, or a poem book!

Bright café with pastries and ice cream

"Runo" or "Poem" is literally a book café, where the tables and windowsills are lined with books, mostly of poetry. When I was living in Tampere, it was one of my favourite places for reading. They have good selection of coffees and teas, locally produced chocolate (even for vegans!), pastries and ice creams (including Italian gelato). Highly recommended. Like my second-favourite café on the same street, it has a good view on the most pictoresque street in Tampere, an attraction in its own right.

One of our favourites

Such a lovely place. Nicely decorated. Gluten free mudcake was to die for! Their selection offers salty pies and breads, sweet cakes & pastrys, hot & cold drinks and special ice cream. Definately recommended!
