Just passing by, I came across a Malaysian restaurant. The food is reasonably priced and really good. The rice is served in a Tuohi cup, the portions are at least sufficient, plenty of vegetables and very well seasoned. The service is slow, but good. I recommend and will visit again.

I reserved a table for three in advance. The reservation went well and the table was ready when we arrived. The menu is really long and there was a lot to choose from. Customer service was successful in English and Finnish. we took the rest of the food with us when we couldn't eat it all.
We started with rolls that looked like spring rolls and some kind of dumplings. They came with a sweet&sour sauce. It was really good. The noodle chosen as the main dish was said to be average and too much egg. I ate the same fried bread again, which was filled with chicken and other stuff and eaten with my hands. It was good and spicy enough for Finnish taste. The guy wanted more chili for his portion.
All in all, very good products and service.

Had chicken satay with salad and bread.
Sauce (peanut?) was sweet and spicy, though not too hot to my taste. Bread was crispy - not like naan bread or tortilla.
Service was friendly and fast. It was saturday 4pm and restaurant was only half full, but I understood a table reservation would be a good idea as the restaurant is quite popular one.

I was eating "rendang" but it's not even close to real rendang, I've been living in indonesia for several years and i really know how real rendang suppose to taste! This was more like beef with sweet soya sauce, im very disappointed about it, because rendang is one of my favorite dishes from west Sumatra Indonesia! Atmosphere was good in restaurant and service was pretty okay, that is where those 2 stars coming, from "rendang" 0 stars!

I tried the Ala carte dish chicken satay. It was cold and tasteless. The peanut sauce was very sour from too much tamarind not the way it should normally taste. The satay should be served with cucumber slice and onion but there were none. For the price they should at least try to make it appealing. The kari noodle was acceptable.

Restaurant was out of both tofu & rice. This meant very limited vegetarian options.
Ginger & lemon Tea was also disappointment - just standard bag tea.
Even though service was good, all in all general ambitious level was only intermediate.

What a terrible terrible terrible restaurant! We would give it 0 star if we could. I had curry laksa, which was sweet and salty. So, I asked for lime or lemon to cut through the unbalanced broth. But, the waitress said they didn’t have any in stock. I ended up eating only the noodles and some chicken, not the broth. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the waitress and said we are only willing to pay half for the laksa dish and full for everything else. The chef then came over and disagreed with our complaints. He kept explaining on how this is their family recipe and that no one has ever complained before. He said this is how laksa is served and the seasoning in his opinion is all balanced. In the end, they said they don’t have the authority to give us discount for the laksa. If we insist for discount we have to wait for 20 mins for the owner to come to the restaurant to speak to us.
We ended up paying the full bill instead of waiting for the owner to come. Waiting 20 mins for a €7 discount is not worth the time.
Avoid. Poor service, extremely bad attitude to customer feedback, if they keep operating like this the restaurant will fail.

We ordered the selection for two which includes satay skewers, 3 curries (prawns, chicken, meat) 2 varieties of rice and bread - and it was delicious! The location is elegant but the atmosphere is relaxed at the same time. You can tell that there is a lot of care for details. Service is great, they also had a magician to entertain tables while waiting for food! Very nice, we will come back when in Tampere.

Went for dinner prior to Christmas. Only 4 customers in the restaurant. The welcome was very low key and the service impersonal. The 2 waitresses seemed preoccupied with chatting and rearranging their hair.
We ordered the Borneo selection so we could sample the range.
The chilli prawns were nice but served lukewarm. The chicken and beef dishes were hot and pleasant. The roti canai bread was delightfully light. All was partnered with the Riesling wine.
For dessert we ordered the grilled banana with ice cream and popcorn. After a couple of minutes the waitress came back to say they had no bananas. That rather summed up the whole experience.
We would not advise people against going to the Borneo restaurant but we wouldn’t go back ourselves.

The staff was friendly and the restaurant looked cosy. I visited during lunch time when there was a lunch buffet filled with tasty food. Multiple options for meat and good salad table. Overall a very positive experience, will surely visit again sometime soon.

Our hotel was next to Railway Station and this place was only like 10mins walk from there. From outside not the prettiest one and interior also was more like "basic lunch place". But once we sat on the table, it was all good after that. Friendly and fast service(in English), cold beer and authentic, real tasty food! Worth of visit if you want some good Asian food

Pleased to find an Asian restaurant a bit different from the usual Chinese - thai. We ordered rendan and satay ayam, both were good. Roti reminded me of street food of Singapore. Will probably come back.

Travelling for work let you visit a lot of restaurants.
When I am in a city I already visited I always go for a new experience; not so in Tampere! Borneo is always worth the visit!! With a menu which has a lot of diversity I am sure to keep visiting Borneo in the future. The food is great, the service perfect and the price is good. Nothing to complain.
