Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Did not try the food, but there was large selection of their own beers and some of them were great, others not, but that comes usually with a large selection of very different beers. Prices were great for the drinks, food seemed bit pricy. The...place is huge and decorated like a true brewpub. When we visited there was even an Oktoberfestband playing, my girlfriend was thrilled to hear some German honkytonky beeing played.More

We had a great time here in a German type of environment with lots of sausages, sauerkraut and beer from its own production. Service was good and rather quick despite lots of guests. There is an in house shop to buy a selection of beers...as a souvenir.More

I visited Plevna twice this month, and was disappointed both times mostly due to the service, which is sad because I have always liked their food. First time we sat in a table which was next to a side table. The waiter brought a big...pile of dirty half-eaten plates to that table, and left them there for like 15mins. The smell was awful. The second time they served a cold steak to my friend. She complained multiple times, and only refund she got was a cup of coffee: no new meal or a discount of the meal that she could not eat.More

We went in search of salmon soup and rye bread which we had been told had been voted most popular food in Tampere - and found the lowest article at Plevia. The liver with bacon and onions almost as good! Great restaurants - great staff!...Don't miss it!More

The quality of the food has deteriorated drastically recently! Their “Pyttipannu” was exactly like Oolanti’s frozen dish (4€) and Curry wurst was like regular sausage sauce with very little sauce (once upon a time they made their own German sausages). Even their beers tasted milder...than before! I wonder what has happened! Even still, the place is always full based on its earlier reputation. Wouldn’t eat here again.More

Good selection of beers & atmosphere was enjoyable, however the selection of bar snacks & the service left quite a bit to be desired. Still worth a visit if you are in the area & keen for a beverage.

The wait for food was about 45 minutes, which they forewarned us about. Food portions were huge, very filling. Generally tasty, but nothing special.

We were greeted by a very friendly barman who explained where we could sit for lunch (we hadn't booked - although we did get a table, I would recommend making a reservation). We ended up sitting in the heated covered terrace, which was a really...nice spot, even though it wasn't right in the middle of the action. Our waitress was also lovely and personable. We had the tamperelainen and pyttipannu; both were delicious and the portion sizes are large! There's a mix of German and Finnish food, with lots of traditional Finnish options (classics are marked with a K). There's a beer pairing recommendation with each dish, which was a nice touch for a brewery. The restaurant is in the city centre and easy to find, and we found it good value for money.More

Really tasty food, great service and pleasurable atmosphere. The best pub experience in Tampere that I could find. Clear recommendation. :)

I ordered a smoked reindeer flammkuchen for starters. The service was quite slow (45min) but the staff informed about this before sitting down. The flammkuchen was well prepared and tasty. However the meatballs and smashed potatoes I had for main course was way too salty....I felt there must have been few teaspoons too much in the sauce or the meat. I couldt finish the dish, the chef said it was ok and the waiter said they are normally ”quite salty”. I asked for a refund and was given 50% discount which was fair. However I left the place hungry and disappointed. The beers were good.More

We finally found it after reading reviews on here. Frontage had altered so couldn't initially see name. It is oldy worldy, with a new covered, glass fronted terrace. Tables by bar just for having drinks and then more tables, sofas on a higher level for...food and drinks. Initially missed the menu as it looks like a newspaper! Service was good, choice of beers on menu plus a dozen more written above the bar. These need to be checked out as they alter. Staff were happy to make recommendations about food and beer. You can pay and taste 5 beers, blind. They arrive in black glasses so you cannot see the colour. We visited several times and recommended to other friends who were also there for the Ice Hockey. We went at different times of the day and food was always hot and plentiful. There were reservation notices on some tables, but the same as here. They say this table is booked for a certain time and you can sit at it as long as you vacate before the time booked. We were never rushed or made to feel unwelcome. Staff were courteous, their English was good and they corrected our attempt at Finnish. The menu gave a good selection, good portion size and piping hot. My favourite was the meatballs in a creamy gravy sauce and mashed potato. My husbands was the local black pudding (served hot as a sausage) with mashed potato. The mashed potato was so creamy it was delicious. All mains came with grated beetroot and the Finnish version of sauerkraut. They sell their beer in bottles to take home and it is 2 euros cheaper than the shops. They had brewed a special lager, Hoki, for the Ice Hockey World Championships plus promotional material such as pucks and hockey shirts. All the staff wore the hockey shirts. A wonderful find. I would definitely recommend a visit here.More

Absolutely a nice place to taste the brewery's beers. We used to enjoy liver steaks, but now the level of the meal had dropped. There was no taste in mashed potatoes and the cooking of the liver must be more precise.

Hallucinating how they treat you after a nice evening to get out of the restaurant. Closing time is at 2 PM and they start chasing and insulting you half a hour before. Rude and inappropriate language used by the personnel…. After spending a serious amount...of money… unbelievable that this is still possible in 2022. Food and beers are good, attitude and customer experience are a scandal.More
