All reviews currywurst liver mashed potatoes steak salad brewery restaurant nice brewery factory area big portions decent food beer german weaving finlayson cellar hall euros
Absolutely a nice place to taste the brewery's beers. We used to enjoy liver steaks, but now the level of the meal had dropped. There was no taste in mashed potatoes and the cooking of the liver must be more precise.
Hallucinating how they treat you after a nice evening to get out of the restaurant. Closing time is at 2 PM and they start chasing and insulting you half a hour before. Rude and inappropriate language used by the personnel…. After spending a serious amount...of money… unbelievable that this is still possible in 2022. Food and beers are good, attitude and customer experience are a scandal.More
Really nice cozy pub in a great location making their own beer 🍺 you can try any of it for around 8 Euros, they do nice food as well , cool staff and very helpful
I have been to Plevna multiple times since i have lived my entire life at Tampere. For a long time i was left wondering what the hype about Plevna is. Went there a month ago with frends and was really dissapointed in the "currywurst" if...you have ever had currywurst you understand that this dish has almost nothing to do with currywurst. In finnish we call it nakkikastike what they serve and i have to say it is quite disqusting. If you dont have tastebuds and you just want to fill yourself cheap thats the dish to go to. Last night i went again with my girlfriend and ordered a peppersauce steak. Then it hit me. I had eaten this before. It was 1998 as a kid in another small restaurant in Tampere so not much has changed. The dish was lets say ok but it did not arouse any sort of emotion exept dissapointment and maybe sympathy. This restaurant is sadly riding the wave with its former success and fame. I think before these dishles i havne had atleast the sausage pan. Its usually burned from the bottom and the sausages dont taste what they are supposed to be atleast not for someone who has visited germany.
The beers are just 10/10 on finnish beer scale. cant give any negative comments about them.
I really really hope. Someone from the restaurant sees this and really thinks about what could be done. For me id say redo the dishes so that they are actually from 2021 and not 1996. Standards have grown quite a lot from those times.
As a closing. Go to plevna to have a beer maybe some of their chips. Enjoy the atmosphere and go eat somewhere where they actually make decent food.More
Excellent atmosphere real jewel in Tampere. Place looks so inviting and waitresses are dressed to fit in. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Plenty of their own drinks available to try. Everyone I our group did enjoy our evening here.
This traditional brewery restaurant Plevna is located in the Finlayson factory area. The restaurant hall is reminiscent of Central European beer cellars and halls.
Plevna is a former industrial building. When completed in 1877, the building had the largest weaving hall in the Nordic countries....Plevna was also the first building that got electric lights in the Nordic countries. They came in 1882.
Instead of beer, we tasted Grandma's blackcurrant cider on the glazed terrace. It was self-service from the bar downstairs.More
My local friends suggested that we shall meet at this place, Panimoravintola Plevna. Location is perfect to citycenter influenced hipsters. Very good food, friendly service with smile and lot of alcohol drink and beer variations to taste.
We had a family lunch here. The portions were huge and we could not eat them all. Also good selection of interesting beers. One of the family took salad which was not among the best ones. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.
The food is average, the area for eating is rather small which does not allow safety distancing. The staff is nice and obligatory, however, I wanted to leave as soon as I finished. Probably a nice brewery restaurant, as accent was obviously on a beer.
