Nice place for a peaceful walk in the woods. Daily soup lunch, donuts etc. Try the home made waffles!

Cafe feels a bit nostalgic, since it's not so modern. More like old finnish home in the middle of the woods. To me it felt like 80's. Cafe offers some guided tours to nearby sometimes. Great place to visit with kids, who wants to see...nature. I enjoyed just sitting outside with cup of tea. Niihama nature trail goes around the lake and it has some task points. Unfortunatly the trail was a bit muddy because it's late spring, so i didn't want to got there with my sneakers. You can find some maps to trails and whole Kauppi area from here. Cafe has a open barbecue shelter and also campfire place. Sausages can be bought from cafe. Frisbeegolf track will be open during this summer. You can also try some waterskiing in the lake. They have some competitons during the summer. Sauna is open 5pm-8pm to women on tuesdays, mens turn is in thursday same time. Cafe is open around the year, so you can enjoy some winter activities too. Haven't been here in the winter yet.More

Niihaman maja is a cosy cafe in the middle of nature, yet only a reasonable walk from the city. You can enjoy coffee, pastries every day from 10:00 to 20:00 and soup lunch during the weekends. You can also have a traditional Finnish sausage if...you are hungry. Or you can choose to grill the sausage at the open fireplace outdoors. You will the most sympathetic host, Juho. It's almost like visiting a Finnish home. There is also a traditional Finnish sauna some days. Fishing, playground and beautiful nature.More
