About

Restaurant Myllärit has been serving clients in Tampere over 30 years. Our unique restaurant is old steam mill build in 1903. We serve high quality food from local suppliers and all the elements in our menu are done in house. Monday to Friday we serve home cooked lunch and from Tuesday until Saturday we serve delicious a la carte dinners on our first floor. Our restaurant can also be booked for private parties up to 250 people.

My best experience of 2021

The service was perfect and the food was very well done and very testy. They use local ingredients like the fish is fresh not something frozen for years. The atmosphere is perfect for small groups and also bigger groups they have big tables that can accommodate many people. They have good selection of wines. The restaurant is very clean.

OK food but poor overall experience

We had a Christmas Lunch Buffet here for 24 persons. The venue is nice old building with red brick walls, and the food was OK as well. Not superb, but for a buffet type lunch pretty good. Unfortunately three persons from our group had to cancel due to illness, but luckily I was there early enough to arrange tables so that we won't occupy tables we don't need. However, the restaurant still invoiced us for 24 persons. This is very exceptional, but it is their policy. I would understand if we would've had a pre-ordered menus - but it was a buffet! And restaurant was not even fully booked.. Just be aware if planning something with a bigger group here, we won't do it again.

Well done Nordic cuisine

Went here for a dinner meeting, and was served in the upstairs private room. The service was excellent, the food was very good with nice vegetarian options. Nice wine selection and decently priced, too, for Finland. Recommended.

Can’t recommend the Christmas lunch

We had Christmas lunch which was highly expected meeting with friends. However our expectatins did not met at all. The Christmas luch was huge dissapointment. Food was medium, one of our friend got really bad stomach ache after eating. The price was very high related to how poor the luch itself was.

Lunch & meeting in Myllärit

Held a Small meeting during lunchtime in Tampere and in Nice lunche restaurant Myllärit. Restaurant is in a Nice old red brick building (there are loooots of those in Tampere). I was having a bit hard time to find it with Google maps, But I think I was a bit rubbish with doing it. Anyways, there is a big shopping center and main railwaystation nearby, so location was really good. We had a cabinet downstairs. It had a white screen for presentations, Which was good. Food had to be fetched upstairs, Which is not good, Especially if you have bad feet. Food was good. Meat was delicious, But Fish was dry. Very good local beer, Which you should taste. After all, Good food and friendly service, But Could be improved a bit 😊😉

A little bit of hard to find, but it's worth to go and have lunch. They have waiters collecting plates and it's not so selfservice than usually.

Nice evening

We went there for dinner. The restaurant was cozy and quiet. We were suprized how great the food was because of the lack of people. The food was something that everyone would enjoy. Also the service was exellent. We surely recomend Myllärit for everyone who visits Tampere.

Small nice restaurant at Tampere center

During business trip to Tampere we stayed at the center of Tampere. For dinner we walk along the street and find this one. It is not so big and fancy but cozy and nice restaurant. The foods were quite taste and we ordered soup and fish. It was nice.
