We stopped in after the Independence Day concert at Tampere Talo, as Basiiko is just a short distance away. I ordered the funghi pizza. It was as good as any pizza that I have eaten in Italy (full disclosure---I have never been to Napoli.). The base was very light, and not at all like a cracker. Enough body to not collapse under the sauce and toppings, but soft enough to enough to melt in the mouth with no chewing. The sauce was light, and not overpowering, and set off the mozzarella very nicely. I paired it with a glass of a very nice valpolicella. Would definitely recommend, and although I can function in a restaurant in Finnish, the staff and the owners do speak English very well. We had an English speaking party sitting next to us. Pizzeria Il Posto is also very good, but I think Basiliko edges it out for best pizza in Tampere. Luca's, in my opinion, has slipped under NoHo ownership. Luca Plantania has now joined the upscale Helsinki pizza scene.

Plus a pizza with lots of toppings and an aesthetic appetizer plate. The assessment of the salmon salad was basic.
The downside is the slightly forgetful service (on the other hand, the restaurant was quite full) and the cold pizza brought to the table. It was then used again in the oven at my request and it was good.

I am an Italian student living in Tampere for study. Pizzeria basiliko makes you feel in italy, both for the very good pizza (better than some pizzerias you find in Italy) and for the Italian environment that welcomes you!
Chef Andrea has brought Italy to Finland !

I was expecting a lot after reading great reviews. I was disappointed.
The pizza (capricciosa) looked nice, it had a lot of ham, fresh mushrooms etc. The base tasted and felt good. However, the overall taste missed something, it was somehow bland overall. Moreover, the ham was chewy - I doubt it is really Parma ham as the menu reads. Overall, I would have rated the pizza as average, three stars.
The atmosphere at the restaurant was however very disappointing. The interior is not at all welcoming but could be something you expect in a cheapest local eatery. This alone would drop one star from my rating, making the overall experience closer to 2 than 3 stars.
The service was friendly, but then something quite concerning happened. We were the only customers at the restaurant for the whole time. I saw no take-away deliveries either. However, when the bill came and I had already paid and started examining the bill more closely as I considered it higher than expected, I noticed that instead of three pizzas we had been invoiced 5.
The waiter acknowledged the situation right away and paid me 20+€ back, but it just makes one wonder how this kind of mistake was really possible. I can understand that in a busy restaurant some mistakes can take place at times. But in a very small place where you are the only customers and there are two people making the pizzas and serving you, and they make no other pizzas than the ones you got, and then you are charged 5 instead of 3... Thus, despite being friendly, the service proved questionable, to put it politely.

I ended up here last week with some friends, they came for lunch few times and they had a good opinion about the place. From outside looks cheap, but the surprise is inside.
The atmosphere is unusual when you get inside, as you hear people talking each others in italian!
The wine selection was genuinely good, we ended up ordering Barbera Superiore, amazing flavours
The pizza was very well cooked and not burnt at all. I hate the charcoal taste, it usually spoil the experience, it was also very digestible.
I also got one of their pesto take away! Amazing on pasta!
The only downside was that there wasn't a good selection of desserts, but next time they promised me Tiramissu

What a disappointmet 😩 high hopes , not satisfied !
Bacon pizza was so wet that I asked another one . Okei …. he made an other one but that was so burned I could not eat it . He was not very happy and showed it too . So did I . Sorry, but If I could give zero I would.

Visited on an evening to try all the hype of Italian pizza. Long story short, bland and salty taste on a pizza with only mozzarella e few drops of pesto. The other pizza with olives ( bad quality ) and spianata had a bit more edge though. Service was fast, decent and polite despite they could not serve alcohol, but that it was a zero issue since it is a new place. The dough was crispy and different consistency from other pizzeria in town in a good way. 3 stars are only because is a new place, but quality - price not worth it. Will revisit in a few months.

The first time I was invited by Finnish friends to join them. I usually don't go to Italian restaurants because it is often very disappointing. I had to change my mind. It was a great and delicious surprise. 100% Italian: ingredients, recipes and people. If you close your eyes, it feels like to be in Rome... Stop this myth about Neapolitan pizza: it is not the only way to eat pizza. I am from Rome and I like the Roman style pizza. I like Neapolitan style pizza too. However NEAPOLITAN pizza is not equal to BURNED pizza. Go to Naples and check! Friendly staff and delicious product with an original idea: they grow their on basilico! Definitely in my favourite places list in Tampere.

Looked for good pizza from Tampere and found this place. Interrior could be a bit more cozy, but the main thing food was great. Took place’s signature pizza ’Andrea’ and I liked it 100%. Will go there again.

Delicious pizza made with fresh and delicious ingredients. They grow their own basil and make home-made pesto which is to die for! Nice atmosphere and warm customer service. We went with friends and kids and everyone enjoyed themselves. Definitely recommend this cute little pizzeria!

I've visted Basilikò for five times now, and in my opinion, these are the best Italian style pizzas in town. Fresh ingredients and great tasting pizza dough. Also, pretty good offers for students.

Heard so many reasons to come and try out this place. I decided to go with my friends and damn… no words to describe how amazing pizzas were there. Customer service was on point, professional and friendly. I’ve been in so many pizzerias and I can say this was the best until now. Will come back here again for sure!

In Tampere for a short holiday with family I tried this pizzeria. The atmosphere is nice and we ate a very good pizza with several choice. The service was fast and the waitress were very kind. I'm from Italy and it was like eat a pizza in my own country. Good job!!

I expected more from this pizzeria, but after high expectations the pizza was a little dissapointment. The composition in my pizza just wasn’t there. The atmosphere and service was still good and pleasant here :)
