We went to this restaurant for early dinner. At that time we were the only clients but still we had to wait for our food for good one hour. The Moussaka was way too salty and burned from the top. The chicken skewer was burned...as well. We mentioned this to the waiter but didnt get any response. This was 2nd and last time to this restaurant.More
A modest and not very tasty lunch. The buffet had various cold spreads, rolls, vegetables and warm alternatives. All done a bit clumsily. Not my favorite restaurant based on lunch.
We came here for an early dinner before a theater experience. We made the mistake of ordering mezes, they were very tasty but after those we were already full; the main courses were really big, we just couldn’t eat them all. I had the prawns...skewer, it had also halloumi, potatoes etc. simply just too much to eat (after the mezes) which was a pity, as it was delicious. My aunt had the fish (seabass), it’s good to note that it’s served as a whole so the person eating needs to be able and willing to bone the fish. At the end we got a nice surprise but I can’t share what it was as it wouldn’t be a surprise then anymore 😂 the service was really friendly.More

Our reservation started at 6pm and we were told to leave the restaurant at around 7:15pm even though we still had wine in our glasses. The reason was that there were next customers waiting to get table. So prepare to eat fast. Also the main...course, lamb was tasteless and not worth the money. Starters were good.More

visited this restaurant for the second time for the lunch buffet and both times we weren't disappointed; a variety of mezes followed by 3-4 main courses, coffee/tea and a cake; price / quality ratio is really good BUT: if you sit near the bar in...the lower level DO NOT LOOK into the bar area - it's dirty and spoils the appetite. The owner should really do something about it (minimum cover the area by a curtain)More

We came to the restaurant with a friend to celebrate my birthday. First male server was extremely nice to us, guided us to the table and gave recommendations regarding food and wine when asked. The drinks came quick and we didn't have to wait for...the food that long either. Mid meal our server was changed to a female. She barely spoke to us, was visibly pissed off when we asked in more specific about the desert. We thought maybe she didn't quite understand us, but the way she was was tense. We waited a long time to get the bill as she dodged us and hid behind the bar. She finally brought them and said I had white wine. I corrected it was red and her reaction was "well it's the same price for all of them anyway". The food was really good, absolutely nothing to complain about. The portions were big so definitely you get what you pay for! Only this one server made our meal a bit uncomfortable and negative.More
The name of the restaurant gives you an impression of Finnish cuisine. However, it is Middle-Eastern. Lots to eat, couldn't eat it all even though I was hungry. The fair-haired waitress was very experienced, kind and informative, explaining clearly all the different plates. The chicken...was excellent, the prawns could have been more grilled. Do not forget to reserve - the place is always full. Tasty, ample portions af delicious food, especially the mezes. Very friendly and fast service. And the price level is correct. Stronly recommended!
Fantastic mediterran food in Tampere! Try The Set menus in "Onni & Leo". You Will get warm lentil soup and a small salad. Then comes several delicious mezes on small plates. Finally a juicy chicken skewer finishes the experience with grilled aubergine. A surprisingly fresh...Turkish Rose wine finishes the meal. Highly recommended !More
Nice atmosphere and good food. Service was fast (early saturday evening) and wine recommendation spot on. Portions are huge, so sharing is perfect way to go.
Lovely service, beautiful place and xcellent dinner with a lot of new tastes. We loved the mezes with different kinds of pastes. I had the Mediterranean plate and loved it. My husband had the lamb skewer. The lamb was tender and well-cooked. Maybe lacked a...pinch of salt but was great anyway. The portions were huge. Maybe not the best place for big family gathering (10+4) but I highly recommend Onni & Leo for couples and small groups.More
