We went to Kumma for dinner with a friend who has a more strict vegan diet, as we heard this place was rather famous among the locals as a vegetarian/vegan food establishment aside from being a bar. We were definitely not disappointed. The meals we...ordered were very stylized and aesthetic, far from being just "junk food". The customer service was great, and we could leisurely enjoy our dinner and beer at the outside terrace. The inside decor was also pleasant. I hope to come back the next time I visit Tampere!More

"Kumma" (Strange) has been around for a bit over two years now, and it has quickly found its place in the bar and restaurant scene of Tampere. The place is always packed when I visit, so much so, that reserving a dinner table is highly...recommended, unless you want to turn away at the door of a full house. I reserved a table with a dear friend for a vegan dinner. Kumma serves all food inclinations, and there are ample opportunities for lovers of vegan food also. This time I tried eggplant fritters for a starter, and they were excellent. For main I tried a new skewer platter. There were two excellent arancini (very rare in Finland!), two falafel tasting strongly of fava beans and two pieces of skillfully fried eggplant. All of this was on top of an excellent and complex salad. Kumma has an excellent seitan pita dish, which I recommend heartily, but I think this was even better! As a dessert I had a piece of raspberry-licquorice cake and a shot of Vat 69. Excellent!More

Had ribs, cauliflower wings and french fries via Foodora. Amazing taste and big portions! The rib sauce is quite hot, but can be ordered separately. I warmly recommend! Even our fussy 8-year old said this was the best meal ever!

Spend the evening here with a friend and we both loved the place! Nice relaxed vibes and interior really reminded me a place I visited in Budapest. Good selection of drinks (bonus points for excelent choice of glass for cider) and food was really good,...full of flavour and presented nicely. Also staff gets a good job sticker from me. Will definitely come here again when visiting Tampere!More

A relaxed, well-decorated place, with lot of different colours. This retro restaurant could be a nice place to be out for drinks. There are plenty of different games to play.

Very friendly and cosy atmosphere, excellent food and service. Wide range of beers! Great value for your money in the hearth of Tampere.

Looks like a bar, and quite messy one... But hey, there is food as well, and quite interesting menu! Food was very tasty and good quality, but nothing too fine. Very relaxed, and definitely nice option for typical burger and texmex. Only minus was that...you have to order at the bar, not at the table - we wouldve took some wine as well, but didnt want to leave the table in the middle of eating.More

The owner of the bar was very rude. He answered us really badly when we asked the Finland most famous Gin, Napue Gin drinks. First he tells us that they did not use it. We wondered why. He says "what a miracle we would have...it for? LOL, so 2015." OK well thanks for criticize our drink choice. Not coming again.More

Nice and cozy place with a funny decoration but... the food quality/price ratio is low. There are better options in town. On the top of that, I waited more than 45 minutes to get my food.

Kumma Junk Bar & Lounge in the city center of Tampere is a fun place. The decor is retro style combined with some nostalgic and cartoonish flavors. They have decent selection of beers (some local ones on tap). The small patio has really fun seats....Haven't been eating here - yet.More
