PUISTO, Tampere

On the spur of the moment we decided to visit here and eat properly, and what an experience it was! We all had the menu, and the food was simply amazing. I would define the experience as "semi-fine", since the main course alone would not...get you full, but you don't need to pay through the nose for the entire 3-course menu. More than in a basic beef restaurant but less than in fine dining place. Service was also excellent - nothing to improve. Hetken mielijohteesta päädyimme tänne syömään, ja hyvä että näin! Good restaurant

I took the puisto burger. It was very good and the portion was large. For the dessert I took chocolate ice cream it was very good and they make that at the restaurant. The service was very friendly. I didn't like that they put all...the people at the restaurant to sit so close to each other although there would have been a lot of space to fill the tables so that every other table is full. There was also too little space between the tables. The view from the restaurant was very nice. In the evening the fallen leafes in front of the windows looked so nice when the outdoor lights illuminated them. You could also see the rapids from the window.More

Our favorite restaurant in Tampere

This restaurant has a beautiful location in Koskipuisto Park next to Hämeensilta Bridge. It is advisable to make an online booking to get a window table with views. The building is quite new. So the interior is modern. Upstairs you can find a cafe. The...restaurant is located downstairs. I usually order a pizza. It was tasty also this time. My partner liked his hamburger. Poor service, ok food. Dirty terrace.

Nice views, smells like piss and bad service - even by Finnish standards. The terrace corners seem to be where the late night partygoers urinate, as it smelled quite bad. We tried to switch tables inside due to the smell and since it got a...bit cold, but were somewhat rudely informed that we cannot sit where we wanted. Instead we were ushered to a cramped place without a view of tje rapids which is the main reason to come here. Food was ok, but skip this restaurant.More

Hmmmmm

Lovely location, however the food didnt live up to my expectations. The main course that I had was steak with leak, croquette potatoes and some puree. The steak itself was nice, but i did not like croquette potatoes and the puree tasted odd and didn’t...really fit well with the rest of the food. Although the main course was not that tasty, the passionfruit cheesecake that I had for dessert was delicious! I would say overall some dishes on the menu seemed pretentious. Good food and ambiance

All of the family really enjoyed their meals, not very big serves apart from the pizza but very enjoyable, I would say slightly expensive for the portions but hey that’s just my opinion, the service was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was really...good, we will definitely go their again as I said the quality was good, next time I think I’ll have a pizza.More

Nice coffee in the city centre

I went with some friends and we wanted to try the Finnish Runeberg cake. I’m not a Runeberg cake expert but at least I can say that it had perfect sponginess and the flavours were so balanced. Regarding the price, the cake was 3,80€ and...I also had a cappuccino, which was 3,50€. It may be a bit expensive for some people, but taking into account that it is located in the city centre and that it was very very nice, I think it is worth it. A must-go if you visit Tampere!More

Coffee in the evening

A long time since my previous visit. The changes made in the restaurant were mainly good. Had a season latte with Christmas cookie topping and a single small cake. The latte was nice, served in a big cup. The cake was a bit dry, taste...OK. Anyway, the location and wiev are worth a visit.More

Enjoyable lunch

This restaurant is located next to the Tammerkoski Rapids. Conveniently near our hotel, the Grand Hotel Tammer. We had booked a table beforehand and got a window table with views.
