A family lunch on a lazy Sunday. I started with the elk with horseradish and continued with salmon soup. I actually didn’t like the elk at all, as it was rather tasteless. Luckily, the salmon soup was much better. I was at the restaurant also...one month earlier, and on that occasion had the crayfish soup and pike and perch set. Both dishes were very good. So all in all, a reliable place.More

Hello Borjeharrison, Thank you for your feedback. Nice to hear that food was taste, but sorry to hear that you didn't like the elk with horseradish, it's a pretty traditional dish, but understand that everyone doesn't like it. Luckily other foods were better. Hopefully, see...More

The place is like a big green house. Lots of windows and very bright place. The food was great bad there was variety in brunch but it wasn't too big.

I liked this restaurant. Interior was somehow airy. Food was tasty and everything worked very well. Price level was reasonable even if it was not low.

Visited for lunch. Find the meat deal tempting while having limited time. Started with soup and enjoyed the beef thereafter. After having cafe back to work. Nice location and reasonable pricing with chef quality.

I've been at Tuhto for lunch several times. Buffet lunch is quite ok. Yesterday we visited Tuhto for Dinner. We had burgers and pasta as main course and muffins and almond cake as dessert. Food was ok. Scenery is great (during summer).More

Restaurant Tuhto is located in a corner of a pit dreary Tampere talo (Tampere hall). There was a group of us taking the special three course Moomin menu. I don't really know if they wanted this to be a taste of Finland... First we got...a fish soup. You got the plate with out the soup, so you were aple to count the potatoes - the vege version was only potatoes. The main course was a bit dry pie - they called it a wild mushroom pie, but you hardly had a taste of mushrooms, it was more like a dry omelet. Sauce was good, though. Pancakes were ok, but for me it was more like everyday dessert, what you make when you have had too much milk and you want to get rid of it. So I think 39 € was quite expencive of this compination.More

Slow cooked Chicken, cooked with patience over mild heat, this juicy boneless tigh is served with grain risotto, stwewed shallots and baked tomatoes. Dessert Manna- pudding & vanilla sour milk Whipped together from berries picked from our bushes, served with strawberry jam, topped with vanilla-...flavoured sour milk and garnished with crispy oats. Einfach liebevoll und ungewöhnlich, aber lecker!More

We had lunch here. The place is clean and upscale. It is nicely themed for boats and rowing. A big plus for introducing the names of the service staff and chefs at the indoor entrance. You see that very, very seldom. This restaurant used to...be a cafe earlier so I had some reservations if it could be upgraded to a fancy restaurant. Potential customers come to the establishments either to concerts or to visit Moomin Museum. Hardly for dinners (or lunches). The menu is short (which is positive in my opinion) but it was easy to pick the meal. We went for the whitefish (cooked whole) based on the waitress recommendation. We had two kids with us, they went for hamburgers from kids menu. We had to wait quite a bit for the whitefish but it takes a while to cook a whole fish, right? It was served on a wooden plate (again according to the boat theme) with some carrots and parsnip and a pool of hollandaise sauce. Overall, the fish was well cooked with the right amount of salt. Whitefish can be quite boring on its own. The bones are always the pain when ordering a whole fish. The hamburgers seemed to be good, the fries as well. The kids received also some candies when we left. The service was nice and friendly, we felt us welcome. Would go again for pre-concert meal or snack.More

Went there for business lunch with one guest. Scenery is fabulous, interior as well, staff friendly and kinda cool. But as we arrived at 1.00 pm most of very short lunch list was not available, only thing you could order was cauliflower soup and hamburgers....No soup for me, hamburgers were dry, little and had very little taste. You get better burgers from fast food. Surroundings and food were totally from different planet, sadly. It would have been very nice if the most important feature wouldn´t have failed. Hope it was just an accident. I may stop there for a drink as Place and staff is goood, but not for a lunch or dinner anymore there are better places near by.More
