high value place with flexible personnel. Excellent food and good beer, nothing to complain. A bit on the expencive side, but good quality will compensate.

We ate various Tapas, which were very good . Certainly made by someone with understanding of what real Tapas is all about. The restaurant was very cozy and service was friendly. We recommend and visit the place.
We had a couples night out and enjoyed the food & service a lot. Great atmosphere topped the experience.
We liked the ambient in this place. Service was quick and friendly. Food was good tasting and nicely presented - good value for money. We had the "grill plate for 2", nobody left hungry :-). Wine selection on the menu too small for a place...which calls itself "...- Wine Room".More
Needed to change plans and select this restaurant as Nera was fully booked and we didn't have a reservation. Roja was recommended, so we went there. Had grill plate for two...I was a bit disappointed as meats (chicken, beef) were a bit tasteless...but not bad...either. I am in between if I would visit this place again or not...time will tell.More
One year since our first visit we had a chance to visit Roja again.. We started with king prawns as we did during our first visit. We continued with Eduardo´s chicken and finished with Bailey´s ice cream and rum marinated fresh pineapple. All courses were...well prepared and tasty. King prawns and rum marinated pineapple were our favourites. The recommended wines were ok as was also the service. Based on our visits, we think that Roja offers very good food. We visited Roja on a Saturday-evening, and luckily we had a reservation.More
We had a lovely dinner together with my friends. The dishes were very good. I had stake which was cooked to perfect in my opinion. Wine was chosen by the staff which I prefer. The dessert was good as well.
We were group of seven, Food & ambiance is nice & cozy. Tried their prawn starters, Pizzas, steaks, mix meat platter with some wine's & Beer. It was a nice dining experience.
Visiting because of good looking menu. No clams what we wanted to. Took grill plate for two -tasted good. Respect changing the glass of redwine for new glass because of capproblem.
It was our first visit to Roja and we left with slight mixed feelings. The food was good but the interior was not according to my liking. I was not very fond of the graffity on the wall and visible pipings below the ceiling. These...gave the feeling that the space was more like a disco instead of a restaurant serving first quality food. As starters, we enjoyed Deep fried king prawns and Mussel ceviche. Both were tasty, but it was a small challenge, how to eat ceviche from a bowl with a knife and fork. We continued with fish - grilled salmon and catch of the day, which was pike-perch. Both courses were very good. The service ran smoothly and their riesling-wine was good.More
I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant during lunch, and was immediately welcomed by very friendly staff, who spoke good English, and were attentive (but not overwhelmingly so), and quickly settled down to our meal. Service was decently quick, and the food was good...(almost comforting) - definitely worth a visit if you're in town.More
Roja and Nera are 'sister' restaurants. Roja is more specialists in lunch than its sister Nera but Roja also has a very good dinner menua. Lots of original Finnish meals and great fishfood. Cosy place near the city centre.
We came to eat at daytime. I ordered grill steak but it was disappointment. The beef had really big part of flesh on the side and it was missing good sauce. Also side food was not so fine.
I had the priviledge of staying a couple days in Kokkola. The first evening I had dinner in Roja. The interior was spacious and chosen with style. Roja also has outdoor seating besides the Chydenius park given the exclusivity of space besides a premier park....The food was excellent. I had seafood paella. Normally the seafood is just a decoration, but a Roja there was plenty of seafood inside the food. I would be glad to come here again.More
Very good service and good food but selection too small. there could be a wider variety of dishes otherwise the place was clean but the interior is perhaps a little bit rough
