This time we ate lunch in Huttula. The fish was reasonably good, maybe it needed more seasoning. The salad table was small, but sufficient to accompany the warm lunch options. There was no butter with the bread! The coffee seemed to be some kind of restaurant blend - bad taste. The staff is friendly and the parking facilities for cars are good.

Lunch and drinks on the long road between Helsinki and Jyvaskula. This was a petrol station with a large bar and restaurant and shops.
My partner was not hungry so I had Meatballs with vegetables and mashed potatoes with cream sauce and cranberries. Nice enough but the mash did taste like it may have come out of a packet.
Service was polite and not too slow. There was a nice garden and tables out on a balcony had we preferred

For a long time, a visit to Huttula was a positive experience. The pepper steak was well seasoned and the meat tender. The service polite and quick.

In the midsts of central Finland- whether your drive from Helsinki to Savonlinna or Jyväskylä you might be lucky to stamble to this familyrun restaurant/bar/petrolstation. Look no further! Amongst all horried chain stops on finnish highways this is a rear pearl.
The food is homemade and GOOD. The owner picks his own mushrooms in the Autumn and smokes his own fish. The salads and weges are always fresh- not from the freezer! The atmosphere is authentic finnish in a friendly, quiet kind of way and to top it all there is a great little souvenir shop just opposite the gasstation.
Save your hunger to Huttula lunchbuffet and you will not be dissapointed!

Teboil Huttula is a good pull-in or a roadside cafeteria on the highway 4 (E75) between Heinola and Jyväskylä. They open early in the morning. Besides coffee, they serve lunch buffets, Rolls hamburgers and a'la carte meals. They also have a drink bar, an outdoor terrace with a lake view, a small shop and several toilets. In the summer you can see domestic animals in the yard. Their service is always very good. In the category of gas station restaurants they deserve five stars but generally speaking I give three stars.

Better than any ABC. We had a mama burger and a great kotipulla (still warm). In addition they have a minizoo, which is especially nice for kids.
