This is a beautiful place on one end of the harbor. You can walk there from the harbor parking lot in less than 10 minutes or drive around the corner at the end of the marina and park in front for 2 hours, being careful to display the time stamp indicator on the dashboard so you don’t get a very expensive ticket. There is a great view of the lake inside or out. There is a nice open air area in front with plastic windscreens (dress warmly) or you can enjoy the beautiful decor inside, which is filled with natural light from the large windows. The food is excellent. The lunches are a great value as everywhere in Finland. The daily lunch menu is on the website. There is also a salad bar for an extra price but it was not as lavish or good looking as in other restaurants. We did not use it when we ate here for lunch; the entrees are more than enough. From the email address this place seems to be part of the Restaurant Roux business group. The staff were not particularly welcoming even though one of us spoke Finnish, but one generally cannot expect that they will act like American servers and be your best friend—that’s not the Finnish way and would be considered intrusive by a Finn whether customer or server. Seriousness and professionalism are just fine and of course no one ever rushes you. It was a pleasure to dine so well and peacefully in such a beautiful venue.

The food was excellent and the wine too! Only minus comes from the first 10 minutes when the waiters did not pay any attention to new guests at the terrace. Went to ask… and from thereon all was good. We look forward to second visit.

Waitresses were quite unprofessional and this was shown in multiple cases. They lacked knowledge on restaraunt menu regarding vegan options. When more info on the only vegan main course was requested, no information was provided until when the food was already ready and brought to the table. A glass of wine ordered took long to deliver to the table and was delivered with a drink order placed later. My poor grandmother could barely eat her pizza because the dough was very hard and the knives were a little too blunt. Also, a big group of people was seated in table next to us very close, even though during covid safe distance should be kept to ensure everyone’s wellbeing.

We were here spending the evening with a larger group. Although the restaurant was not full, the service was very slow. I had olives as an appetizer, which turned out to be a big disappointment. I got a bowl of almost tasteless olives. For the main course I ate Prosciutto pizza, which was quite ordinary in taste. The dessert was a chocolate cake, which was the most successful part of the restaurant experience. We were in the restaurant on an August evening and yet it was cold and drafty inside. However, the location was good and the interior of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasent.

Lovely meat platter on the terrace.
Calm environment at an ending street with a view to a harbour offered a nice surrounding for a basic couples lunch on a tuesday.
Nice mixed grill meat platter.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We had snails and reindeer tongue and then pork and red deer all delicious the wine recommended by the waitress was very nice too

Food was good 👌 and service was nice!
We took 3 course menu and we were pleased! First tunafish crudo, then iberian steak and then dessert with all sorts for 2!

We were here to have lunch. Three of us had pizza and one had a salad. The service was good but we had to wait relatively long. Pizza wasn't special but ok. Basic restaurant pizza.

Many thanks to the Kokka restaurant.
We celebrated the meeting of the peer supporters of the brain association Päijät - Häme over lunch.
The food was good and so was the service. We got to talk in our own group and at the same time we enjoyed a tasty lunch. Accessibility was well taken into account. All in all, the event was a success. Thank you to the entire Koka staff.
