We visited this restaurant with friends on Saturday night. We specifically ordered a private cabinet, so that we won't be disturbed by others. All of us opted for the 5-course menu and I also had my courses with wine package. Our starters (duck and pea...soup) have been good and tasty. The portions though have been quite small. Unfortunately, our waiter has been forgetting us all the time. At first, we waited for over 10 minutes to get water and to order. After the starters, no one took our plates for ages and then the waiter himself came and told: "Oh, I forgot about you!". The main course was a pure disappointment! I ordered mushroom risotto which was overly salty and tasted as if someone just spilled a bunch of onion salt on the top of it. Behind all the saltiness I couldn't recognize the taste of the dish. Our first dessert has been "cheese selection" which just was called so and in reality, had just two tiny slices of cheeses and a bit of jam with two pecan nuts. An extremely small dish! We waited for the final dessert for another 15 minutes! Even though the waiter apologized for the delay, we were so exhausted that we just ate quickly and asked the receipt right away. My wine package was good, up until the dessert wine arrived and I ended up having two glasses of the same dessert wine for two very different desserts (cheese and chocolate). Normally, while ordering the wine package, I expect different wines for each course and decent pairing, which unfortunately didn't happen. We arrived at the restaurant around 17.50 and left only around 22.00, which makes it 4 hours for a 5-course meal. Definitely not what we expected! In conclusion: we will never return again. And I will not recommend anyone to come to that place. There are much much better restaurants with good food and great service in Helsinki at a similar price level!More

We went to this place after checking Trip Advisor’s review. We passed the place randomly and thought “why not try a French-like experience in Helsinki”. The result: utter disappointment. The restaurant is not French, doesn’t use French products nor French recipes but happily surfs on...the “French is so trendy” wave which people seem to appreciate here. Based on other reviews here, putting a French sticker on the design concept and giving pompous names to boring cocktails is enough to give a thrill to locals. Let’s get to the food. This place presents itself as a sort a bistro, but the concept is well misunderstood. Ridiculously small portions, prices through the nose (we were even charged 4€ for a few slices of dry bread). My main course really took the biscuit. I had a lamb dish.. didn’t expect it to be big, bit was still astonished. I had literally as little as 3 thumb-sized pieces of meat. Tasteless, but “spiced” with a finely grated powder that made the whole thing taste like it was prepared on the beach on a windy day (or left your take away kebab fall in the sand). One of my worst restaurant experiences ever, but I’m not even surprised this place got good reviews in Finland. Such restaurant would not survive 2 months in France. And I’m from there, so I know what I’m talking about. Conclusion: another fancy wanna be restaurant which misuses France as a quality assurance. The waiter kissing his fingers every 5 seconds to describe how good their food is really summed it up for me. This restaurant offers as mush of a French experience as Crème Bonjour on Ranskanleipä. I’d avoid the place.More

We were kindly welcomed to the restaurant and we received a thorough explanation about the lunch menu for the First of May celebration. We also had a nice wine tasting before accepting the bottle of Pinot Noir from Alsace. Excellent wine for the whole menu....As a starter we had tartare with fantastic taste surprises, excellent tastes that filled the mouth. I enjoyed the whitefish with Jerusalem artichoke as the main course, excellent tastes again. Ice cream with meringue, just a perfect topping for this excellent menu. I can only say that this was really a joyful visit of tastes and I can really recommend this restaurant for you who loves the tastes.More

The restaurant is very nice, but parking is a bit of a problem. French type of food was good, but not great. Wines were the highlight.

This small restaurant is a hidden secret in southern Helsinki. Excellent food and wines coupled with a personal and friendly touch in the service. Prices are reasonable considering the high quality offered. Definitely worth a visit.

Really good French bistro in a nice quarter in Helsinki. The food was delicious with perfect wine pairings. Wines are mostly small French artisan wineries. We felt welcomed and the service was really good an personalized. Can warmly recommend and we definitely got value for...our money.More

The coolest areas in Helsinki are Eira, Ullanlinna and Kaivopuisto. This bistro is in Ullanlinna area at Tehtaankatu street. The tram number 3 is just there. And only maybe 500 meters to the Baltic sea. Nice food and friendly service. Worth for one dinner visit....You know Helsinki - the capital of the worlds best country.More

I organized a surprise birthday party for my husband’s 40th yesterday. The manager spoiled it though as she asked us if it was the bigger group when I asked for our table so husband instantly knew what I was up to! A bit of a...shame, please be more careful with these. But disappointment was quickly forgotten as food and wine were excellent. I enjoyed the duck rillettes and the salmon was perfection. All in all we all enjoyed our food greatly.More
